I've always been taught to keep my nose out of someone else's business. If a few *******es want to brawl over a video game, I won't step in to stop them or call the police. Then again, there's not much I would call the police for.

I kinda agree with keeping out of it...I know that if I somehow get involved with good intentions I'd end up getting stabbed or shot. IMO my life is worth more than to risk that. Obviously it all depends on the situation though. What sickens me about any of these "public brawl" videos is all the bystanders holding their camera phones. Gotta get that Youtube video;nevermind offering to help any of the victims.(Not just these, but search YT and a bunch come up)

Re: This is why I don't do midnight releases
Yeah I usually don't partake in midnight releases.
Hate standing in line for long periods of time and don't see the point of wasting time to get a game I can get later in the afternoon. Especially when I work in the AMs so I wouldn't be able to play long anyway.
Seeing this nonsense and the absurd behaviors people exude on Black Friday, has taught me to stay away from these sort of shopping events. Patience is a virtue that is often rewarded.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: This is why I don't do midnight releases
I've only been to one midnight release and it was Madden the first year I moved to Baton Rouge. I worked in retail at the time and had the next day off, plus the local Best Buy was only 5 minutes away from my apartment.
There was about 20-25 people waiting outside and I was one of the last ones in line. When they opened the door, they had two lines: one for pre-orders and the other for non-pre-orders. I was the only person in the "who didn't pre-order line" and was in and out within a minute. I suppose a random act of violence could have occurred after I left, but I was probably already playing my game by that time.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: This is why I don't do midnight releases
I've never understood waiting in line at midnight for a game. There are probably 5 24 hour wal marts in our county and they're mostly dead at midnight. Just walk in, ask for the game and get out in about 15 minutes. I remember I got NHL 10 at midnight and was home by 12:15.PSN:BrrbisBrrComment

Considering most of the people who go to midnight releases, acts of violence are the absolute last thing on my mind.

These videos are the worst though - everyone who uploads to it should learn a little from :

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zPnK0NCn_MQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
and then if they fail to do so, they should be done this way:

Good to know that I wasn't the only one thinking that Vince McMahon was gonna pop up out of nowhere.
The folding chair attack was funny to me because of this.Comment

Re: This is why I don't do midnight releases
I love when I got MLB 10: The Show at midnight, and it came out the same night as Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I got there at like 11:50 just because, but hung out in my car when I realized everyone there was for BC2.
When the doors opened, I just tapped some shoulders and asked to go through because I wasn't getting the same game they were. I thought they were about to beat my ***, when the store manager ushered me inside.
Now I get to say that I didn't have to play Bad Company... I already had some that night!

Not a big deal IMO.
It's just a rumble. I'd rather see fist thrown to resolve conflicts rather than a .45.Comment

Yeah I see no big deal here. You see this at concerts, bars, school, actually where ever people gather i've seen fights. I've seen a fight at church, not just once but 3 times.Comment
