Cant sleep, every time I close my eyes I see my little girls face. MY soul hurts so much it feels like the tears will never stop. We are in limbo. Because of my daughters age they must perform an autopsy, which is fine because I have to know what happened . We have a meeting today at 11 with the funeral home to make arrangements,

I am beyond sorry for your loss. I'm sitting here at work fighting back tears. I have a 2 year old daughter and couldn't even begin to fathom losing her. When I get home today I'm going to give her a huge hug whether she likes it or not. Stay strong brother, but let yourself grieve at the same time. We're here for you.

I had a dream not one hour ago that my 18 year old sister was home, and I just decidingly gave her the biggest hug. She was confused by it, but I said it was because I love her and want her to know that. Granted, she's at UCLA right now and comes home tomorrow, but I know what that dream meant.

Bullit, your daughter's image will never escape your mind, but when the time is right and you're ready, you'll realize they are all happy thoughts and memories. I dream of Tim and my guinea pig in their alive form all the time, and when I recall the dream, I have the biggest smile on my face. Of course I miss them, but I somehow feel connected with them in the dream world, knowing they're still with me.

Still can't shake what you're going through, but you will definitely know you're not alone in this ordeal, and it's best to talk with those who are going through it with you, even her teenage girlfriends, let alone the entire community. They'll definitely be there for you.

I know I won't shake this out of my head for quite some time, and I'm definitely giving my sister a big hug tomorrow evening and will tell her about this.

Make sure the rest of her family and friends know its okay to talk about it too, and even cry, its worse to hold it in.

I've seen posts by you mentioning your daughter within context of the discussion, and hearing now that she is no longer with us... I'm just wide eyed in shock. Wow... wow. This is one of the heaviest things I've read here. I, too, am fighting back tears.

It scares me that any moment, a loved one can pass. It's next to impossible to cherish every moment in the daily grind of life, but that doesn't mean we can't try. With Thanksgiving just a couple days away, let us all do our best to truly appreciate those we surround ourselves with and those we don't get to see enough as well. One of my brothers, who I seldom see due to his past troubles, called me yesterday to say he spoke to our grandmother (where we celebrate Thanksgiving) and that he'll be making the trip down to be with the family. I'm not a big speaker (fancy myself a writer) or a person who expresses their emotions outwardly, but I'm going to make sure to say a few words during grace. I'm already in the process of mentally putting together a text message detailing how much I love my fiancé because we just never know when. Your tragedy has inspired me to show the love and appreciate I hold for friends and family more openly.

May your daughter rest in peace. And may you and your family find solace in the fact she is in the safest place she can be now.

Damn, I'm incredibly sorry for your loss and sending thoughts and prayers your way. I've got an 8 month old at home and if anything ever happened to him it would absolutely kill my wife and me.
