Well, if for some reason you can't just get a single joint account for all of your stuff because you don't trust your significant other, which always makes me wonder why they are a significant other...

You get a joint account, you each put X% of your after-tax income in it, and then you pay your bills that way. That way each contributes the same percentage. If one makes so little that that isn't feasible... well go back to the first paragraph. If you can set it up so one pays the rent and the other pays utilities and groceries and it comes out fair, do that. Just do some math.

Walk in the door and a customer is all ready raising all kinds of hell because the GM "laughed at his misfortune" when he said he forgot something at the DMV and had to go back and get it.
