I'm just now sitting down to watch football. This past winter, I had a friend of mine do my oil while I took care of some stuff. Made the drain plug too tight so I had to go buy easy outs and a new plug, so $30 I didn't expect to spend. And then the filter was on too tight, but that was getting replaced so I didn't mind destroying it. All in all, took several more hours and gas than it ever should have.Comment

I think last night may be the last time I "go out" for a long time.
Had someone knock my glass of Blue Moon out of my hands and shatter it twice, right in the middle of a huge crowd of people.
The bar and club scene is fun from time to time, but I can't handle it long. It's so crowded you can't really talk to anyone or make a conversation with some girl you see and everywhere you look there's some d-bag frat boy lurking.
It was a struggle just to get to the bar and order a drink.
I shouldn't have to keep saying "excuse me" and forcing my way through a group of people. I try to be nice about it, but after asking twice I'm making my way through.
Drunk college girls everywhere, what's not to love.... right ? I just can't get down with the scene.
I kept thinking "Girl, don't think I'm afraid to rub up against you to get where I have to go, especially considering you won't get out of my way".
When I went to a bar in New Jersey a couple weekends ago, they looked at my California ID and they're like "do you have anything else?" as if the picture on the ID doesn't look like me. I'm like "yeah, I have a credit card, my UCLA ID, my community college ID, whatever you want man." ****er stopped me while I was saying that and he's like "alright, alright." Hollywood-level scrutiny at some bull**** bar in New Jersey. SMH.
Then I go inside and after waiting like 15 minutes for my turn at the bar, the guy tells me he doesn't take credit cards. Like, uh, it's a BAR, at 11:30pm, how do you not take credit cards? Good thing I had cash, but still stupid.
Bars are full of douchebags, weirdos, and gutter trash chicks. You can barely speak with the people you came with with all the crappy music blaring, and you're basically doing what you can do at home comfortably anyway.
We went to another one another night and I was sitting with my beer when I felt water and ice graze my arm. I look to my right and I see two typical New Jersey bar douchebags fighting. Apparently one threw his drink at the other and some of the "shrapnel" hit me. Then there was another fight like 15 minutes later.
I've been at that point for years. Never really cared to do it anyway but now I'm totally uninterested. If it's a bar/lounge with open space to sit and low/no music so you can converse, fine.Comment

Been dealing with a pretty bad wrist sprain for the better part of 2 months now. It's just starting to improve as I have most of my flexibility, and can put "some" weight on it but it's still weaker than my other arm at this point; and I can't put my body weight on it yet. (push up position, press myself out of bed with that hand)
I think I'm about 2 weeks away, but we'll see that's what I said last week too. All I know is ligament injuries ****'n suck, take forever to heal, and you have to be so tender with them; a long side of this I'm also dealing with a mild MCL sprain in my left knee.. and that's being a slow, baby step process as well.Minnesota Vikings

Sitting on the porch watching USC/WSU, and all the lights go out. TV stays on, but just the lights (lamps) go out. And I was reclining on the couch (power recliner) so I couldn't lower the footrest. Awkwardly crawled off the couch and tried to figure out what the hell happened. Everything was still plugged in.
Assuming a breaker popped or something?

Brent was getting a bit friendly. That whole sequence was just strange, I was kinda half way paying attention to the game, and that happened. Just really bizarre. I was laughing but it was uncomfortable from the start lol.Comment
