I spent my entire off day playing Grand Theft Auto V.

I woke up at 9:30 and got some coffee and some food and then sat down about 10 and started playing. I took small breaks for food, the bathroom, and a couple household chores (clothes, dishes in the dishwasher, etc). I cut it off about 11 last night.

I just... the game is amazing. It's nothing earth shattering or groundbreaking, but it is amazing. I never do anything like that with video games anymore. I'm usually a few hours in at the most and then I'm tired of playing whatever it is.

Rockstar is beyond a shadow of a doubt, the most reliable game developer.

I don't think I've ever seen a game collectively own the world's soul like this before.

Not even Madden or MLB release days are like this. EVERYONE is playing GTA.

I would be excited about FIFA if I had the free time. GTA V will be my last game purchased until next year sometime.

Played GTA for 11 straight hours yesterday since I only have one class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Haven't worked since Sunday, this is awesome.

Man....I haven't done that in YEARS. I plan to spend a good 6 hours with the game tonight though.

Damn BnG, that's a lot on your plate for a 21 year old.

Definitely make sure your job situation is stable and get your own apartment spot. My girl & I finally moved out on our own and while money is tighter now then it was living at either of our parent's, it's worth it. What's yours is yours, it teaches you responsibility to have this money on this date, etc. I work a lot to make sure I can eat and keep this roof over our heads, but it's worth it like I said. I pick up shifts when I can, and when I do have free time it's glorious. You appreciate the stuff you do have.

I feel like you already know this. Just know that if you work hard, you'll be rewarded. It sucks sometimes to be working so much but eventually it just becomes second nature. Still gotta have some chill time though. Don't forget that.

Feel free to PM me if you just want to get some stress off your mind and vent without everyone seeing it. I won't judge you too harshly.

BNG, obviously I don't know your situation, but maybe you guys could talk to the bank and offer to pay something. It's seems like most places would want to try to work something out. Good luck either way.

As far as the GTA - I hated GTA IV. I tried playing it two different times (once at release and again when it went on sale on XBL a month or two ago) and I just couldn't get into it. I'm not that big of a fan of open world games though. I much prefer game like Uncharted and The Last of Us.

With that said I bought into the hype of GTA V. I haven't played it that much (maybe 2-3 hours), but so far it has been awesome.
