Well guys, Monday is the day of my back surgery. Needless to say, I am scared to death. Trying to stay strong and positive for my family but it is becoming difficult as it gets closer to the day. Today was my last day of work for about 2 months and it was tough. Praying that I will be healthy and able to come back to work 100%.

During my recovery however, I am looking forward to finally playing GTA with you guys. Hopefully take my mind off the pain and have some fun. Not sure how long I will be in the hospital but should be home for sure by the end of the week...

Good luck dude, hope all goes well. I myself might have to have knee surgery in the near future.


So I wanted to ask have any of you guys had an Illness before in which the after effects lasted for weeks, months after you presumed the illness had faded? I spent a night in the hospital Two weeks ago, when I had a strange combination of symptoms basically muscle aches, shortness of breath, slight chest pain, headaches, loss of appetite.

They took X-rays, heart rate, and Blood tests and they thought it could have been Mono but the Mono spot came up negative. They told me nothing was abnormal, and that I probably had some kind of Viral illness that I'll get over.

That night I felt really relieved went home and started to feel better, however I'm still having some lingering symptoms that I think may be related. Basically some general fatigue, trouble sleeping (strange that I feel lethargic but don't want to sleep, and my Knees have been aching me more than usual)

I'm not panicking or anything but would be nice to know what's going on, and why Doctors can't diagnose me... I wonder if I have fibromyalgia?

I've had 2 major back surgeries, I'm fused at L4-L3 and have 2 rods connecting L4-T11, so if you have any questions about recovery feel free to ask. I will even give you my phone number if you want to talk on the phone. Good luck on the surgery and take care of yourself.
