I've had an iPod nano in HS before iPhones and then smart phones took off.
I also had an iPod touch for a bit, but sold it to a friend. I don't have a need for one with my phone.
Just a few days ago I gave away a perfectly good iPhone 3G because I don't need it and a friend needed a phone. It's funny to think people were paying hundreds of dollars for that thing a few years ago.
I'll never forget when the iPhone first came out and this girl brought one to school. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and that thing was so limited in comparison to what we have now. Texting took off when I was in HS and so did bluetooth. I guess that's one thing I'll be able to say I saw first hand.
Now we're just not surprised by any sort of technology that comes out. We expect the best and bitch about things no matter what. These gaming forums are a prime example. Little kid chase would be in love with modern football games and dudes are still trying to convince themselves that NCAA 06 is superior to NCAA 14. Nostalgia is a bitch..
I thought Super Mario Bros 3 and Excitebike was the coolest thing ever.

How did everyone miss that gem?
