We've been taking care of her parent's Brittany Spaniel for the week while they're on vacation. That dog is so well behaved and listens extremely well.
I would love to have a German Shepard again, but they aren't really house dogs at all. I guess its time to do that research thang.
Marriage is off the table lol. Like not even making the bubble for the thought yet. Yes, eventually, but Lordy pump those brakes guys.

My cousin is a vet or does something with vets or does something that involves dogs. Either way my cousin has knowledge/hookups on the matter.
I know if I go to the SPCA I'm coming home with something so I want to be prepared and not get sucked into all those puppy dog eyes.

No dogs allowed in our apartment. We're both moving up and will probably go with a townhouse in a year or two, as we want children within the next few years. Also, a dog. I've always wanted another German Sheppard too, but with potential young children, probably best not to. My dad had one but once they had my brother and the dog gave him a look, he had to get rid of him. Became a K-9 unit actually.
I have a cat, she's our little princess. She's 12 now, got plenty of life in her. But we've discussed a kitten... I don't know whether to bring a kitten (also a rescue) into my cat's life or if it would be good for her. I don't want her to feel threatened... But we don't want her to be lonely either. She grew up with a few other cats but hasn't had a friend for the past 8ish months when we moved into our new apartment.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

GS not good with kids? My parents had one before I was born and it died when my brother was 3 or 4 (he's 2 years younger than me). That was the best dog ever. The only time it made any threatening antics was when my half-brother's father went to take a step onto the deck (our drive way drove up to the back of the house) and her hair raised and she went into that gut-growl.
