In further fantasy braggery that everyone here is dying to know, I picked up Rapistberger last week just because he was playing the Lions. Yeah, I said it.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

This Best Buy job is the first time I've ever been happy with a job.--
Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.

Re: Off Topic 2013
Speaking of jobs...There's a job I want to apply to, but I don't meet the experience/educational background for it. I can do all the skills required though and can handle all the responsibilities.
I often hear people just tell me "Just apply anyways, even if you don't meet experience/educational requirements", but undecided on if I should or not, cause last thing I want to do is apply for something, and even after looking at my resume, I get an interview, then they end up being like "you don't have experience/educational requirements.........."
Sucks how this happens too often, I have 90-100% of the skills/knowledge needed for a job,but it always asks for SPECIFIC experience/educational requirements. It's like I said before, you can't get job A without experience in job B. Can't get job B without experience in job C. And can't get job C without experience in job A. It's an illogical cycle.Comment

Let's see what you say a week from now.

I don't agree with the last paragraph either. I used to, but then I got a job doing just that. I had virtually 0 experience in what they were looking for (had plenty of programming experience otherwise) and got a job that required 3+ years experience in many of their things. My boss is one of the few people I've interviewed with that took my teaching and graduate school background as a positive and not a negative.
You don't have a degree. If they want a degree, you have much less of a chance. Most try the same argument. "I can do everything that's required, but I don't have a degree." That list of job requirements is never complete. I make an effort to ask in interviews what else they are looking for. Oftentimes they want background knowledge and they want to see if you are able to finish things. Having a degree in a field they are looking for almost guarantees you have the background knowledge unless you went to ABC Community College. And well, finishing, especially with honors, etc... gives an even better indication.
Now, if you are trying to apply for a job that requires 7+ years and a master's degree, forget it. You're out of your league. But if you are far enough into school (like 2-3 semesters from graduating) and they are looking for 0-2 years experience and a degree, apply. You might get an internship. Hell, look to see if they have internships! You might find out you hate the job.Comment

Actually, if anyone here has a strong medical background (specifically of the body) and can PM me, I have an embarrassing question to ask and I don't feel weird asking someone I don't really know lol.--
