The Wire is the greatest TV show of all time. No close 2nd.

I will disagree with you on this.

How much of BWE did you watch?

Season 1 was a little slow because much of it was character introduction, but Season 2-4 have all been on point. Plus it has the best cast of characters of any show that I watch. It's must see TV in my opinion.

The Shield and The Sopranos are my two favorite dramas of all time. There are a ton of highly acclaimed dramas I need to find time to watch.

Of all time is quite subjective. Really depends on what type of tv show genre that interests you.

I watch Star Trek everyday, year round. Whether it be Next Generation, Deep Space 9, Voyager or Enterprise. I watch Martin reruns everyday as well. As much as I enjoyed The Wire, The Shield and The Sopranos, I couldn't watch it everyday.

I feel like if Sopranos only lasted 3-4 seasons instead of 6 I would enjoy the series a lot better. Plus, Anthony was annoying as ****.

Watch Martin re-runs every night as well. Show holds up so well.

As far as dramas:

1. The Wire
2. Breaking Bad
3. Mad Men (this could drop. S6 fell pretty flat for me)
4. Six Feet Under
5. The Shield (best series finale of any show I've seen)

Made it to S2 of Sopranos before I gave up. Just never grabbed me.

This is exactly what I thought.

Every time I see someone claim a show like (BWE, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, etc.) is meh or boring I always assume that it's because they didn't really watch it. Whether it's only half watching it while doing something else, picking it up in the middle without knowing who and what's going on, etc.

Personally, if I watch a show I'm starting from Episode 1, Season 1 because I want to know who everyone is and why things are happening. I'm pretty sure I would hate every show that I love now if I only partially watched it.
