It'd be cool if you could not go to work and still get paid for it.

Just become a leech on society.

It's increasingly common these days, and it pays fairly well. Agree with it or not, the way it's set up, I make more on unemployment than I could working 40 hours a week at 10 bucks an hour.

Yeah I actually make more on disability (although it's still chicken scratch) than I did loading trucks at UPS in college.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to temporarily at some point. I honestly can't see our store lasting another 6-12 months.

And you slept through it? I couldn't sleep through a text at 3:45AM even though my phone was on vibrate and on the carpet.

That kind of reminds me of my roommate freshman year in college. Since I'm hearing impaired I have an alarm clock that vibrates my mattress to wake me up and he insisted that he could feel it despite the fact that not only were our beds not bunked, but they were on opposite walls of the room. My junior year my roommate and I actually did have bunked beds with me on the bottom and he (a different guy than freshman year) couldn't feel it when my alarm went off.

Guess some people are just extremely light sleepers or extremely sensitive to vibrations.

I'm doing the same thing. I'm looking at a Nikon D7000 with a 18-200mm lens and a 35mm f/1.8 prime lens.

It's great to have good photos of family events, sporting events, parties, etc. to look back on.

I've been doing something similar. Been organizing and scanning old family photos onto my computer to digitize them. That's no small task either considering my mom wasn't exactly good at keeping them organized.

Yeah, I cannot sleep through anything. My fiancee probably could have slept through that plane crashing into our house. Guess I need some earplugs or something.

For my money Ken Burns' The Civil War is the top documentary limited series ever made with his Baseball series just falling short of it.


Today was a long one, the GF and I were out basically all day and on top of that we went shopping as she had a bunch of gift cards. To say I was bored and had tired feet would be an understatement. Still, for the most part the day was pretty good.
