Re: Off Topic 2013
Yeah, in most of those delivery type jobs, there is a reason the pay is higher, but still wouldn't consider that making a lot of money, especially for the schedule he works. But, if it works for him, then that's good.
If he finished college, he could have got a job making much more.
I partially agree with your last sentence. There are a boat load of people in this world that regret every minute of going to College.Indianapolis Colts

Re: Off Topic 2013
So, I get to work and there's all ready three stacks of bull **** laying on my desk and three transporters outside with cars ready to unload.
We have no room anywhere for them and no one has been doing **** while I've been off work.. I'm not the least bit surprised.
Our entire warranty and car process changed over the new year too, so the 140 cars out on the lot all need new buyers guides and price changes.
No one has started on any of that either... geez.
I need to get away from this operations garbage.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
So last night I did the birthday stuff with the family. Went out to dinner and did gifts. Dinner was epic. I had a pan fried flounder which was topped in a Parmesan and crab imperial concoction.
My parents got me a couple Lego sets (yes, glorious, glorious family) and a gift card to Kohls. I should feel odd about being excited for legos at 26 years old, but **** it.

For college aged adults that's making good money in my opinion. And quite honestly if he works hard and takes it serious he could easily make Pepsi a career for him.

I know there's a lot of people that regret college, but I never will. I had a great time with great friends, got a good degree, and got a lot of knowledge in my field that will enable me to do some pretty cool things when it's all said and done.
Also, I can buy games like TEW (and start dynasties).Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: Off Topic 2013
I only finished college and became a teacher b/c I honestly don't think I could handle a job that required me to work throughout the whole year. I also just read AUChase's description of his cluster **** at work and became a little bit more appreciative w/ my highlights of the day being debating AP on special teams, Penn Station and getting to stage 8(?) on Streets of Rage 2 on my phone.
I'm always looking to better myself, but my company is pretty good with career building. They're building new dealerships every few months and they like to promote within. People are going from making 35k+ bonuses a year to 100k + bonuses a year in just a few years.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
Honestly, my job can be a cake walk at certain parts of the year. We're gearing up for tax season and I've been tasked with the operations side of things and it's a pain in the ***. The dealership sold 144 cars in the month of February in 2012.
