Some people just prefer that family owned and operated environment opposed to big retail.

This pretty much sums up all of Vermont. Won't find many national chained businesses here. Damn near everything is family owned, including the movie theaters.

Why can't companies make normal polo shirts ?

I tried to buy a few today and every L had super short/small sleeves.

My arms aren't even that big and I don't want to look like the d-bags wearing too small of a shirt. If I was going to do that, I may as well buy a visor and some plaid shorts that come up 6 inches above my knee. I guess I would also have to buy a pair of Sperrys and some Costas with croakies.

If I go up to an XL, then the shirt is too baggy and I'm not really a tucked in shirt kind of person.

The only ones I know of are the one mentioned, one in Daphne (near Mobile) and one in Pearl, MS.
