Really? He's averaging 15 points per game this year. This after there was an entire thread on this forum dedicated to people saying how big of a bust he was, how right they were, and how he'd be out of the league at the end of his rookie contract. Dude works as hard as anybody in the game. Second, the "Duke can't produce NBA talent" statement is one of the biggest fallacies in sports.

      Irving
      Deng
      Brand
      Boozer
      Hill
      Brand

Are all current players and former All Stars, plus you have:

      Redick
      Henderson
      Maggette
      Duhon
      Battier
      Dunleavy
      Dahntay Jones

Who are currently/at one point have been good NBA players. Not to mention Singler who is doing solid as a rookie. The jury is still out on Austin Rivers, Nolan Smith, and Miles Plumlee.

Also, Duke had 16 NBA players during the 11-12 season, more than any other school. Former Duke players also scored more collective points than any other school (8,292). I'd say they're doing alright.

Out of that list, personally I'd only take Irving, Deng, and Boozer at his best. Maybe Grant Hill at the very top off his peak.

LOL yeah, I mean who would want Elton Brand who was basically a lock for 20 and 10 for 8 years straight.

I'm not saying that Duke isn't historically a fantastic basketball program with many NBA greats, but they are just the most unlikeable team I can think of in any sport.

Baseball: Red Sox or Yankees. It's just the media coverage that makes people hate them so much. It's not really the teams themselves (for most people)

Football: Cowboys or Patriots. The Cowboys are like the Red Sox and Yankees. The media coverage makes people hate them. Aside from Jerry Jones being a clown (I actually don't think he is but many do), they aren't totally unlikeable as a franchise.

The Patriots are only unlikeable because they have had so much recent success and have a smug *** coach that's been caught "cheating" in the past.

              Hockey: I don't know ****.

Basketball: Lakers. I'd say it's mostly because they have really stupid fans. But I don't know.

But Duke is different. They are unlikeable. Always have been. It's not because of success or media coverage. It's THEM.

With exception to the NFL, you named off all my fav teams. Although, when it comes to baseball, I'm casual fan @ best.

NBA discussion..... no no no no no no no.

I'm telling you guys. NBA discussion only leads to lists, which leads to comparisons to MJ. It never ends well.

                          Cowboys are in there.

Granted maybe not "losing" season record, but ah that last game of the season was fun.

This is an easy list though.

                              Best players currently:
                              1. Derrick Rose
                              1a. Kyle Korver
                              *HUGE GAP*
                              2. Who cares?

Kyle Korver is easily the best player since His Airness. Easily.
