A man and his son was attacked by a mountain lion in his garage. Him and his wife wrestled it to the ground, he got his gun and killed it. Got mauled pretty good though. It's real up here.
Yeah, but then there's that whole dealing with kid's thing that must really, really suck.
Nope, best part of the job. Dealing w/ the adults is the pain in the ***. At least at the high school level.
I'm actually an intervention specialist and not a teacher. I just say teacher b/c I don't have to explain that. I basically act as somewhat of a behavior moderator and help kids stay on task. I write on task IEP goals and write up social emotional reports and teacher observations. I'm a special ed teacher w/o actually teaching. I'm always in the room w/ the actual teacher. I do teach a class for seniors that gets them ready for life after high school that I volunteered to teach.
High school is fun b/c I don't have to really censor myself, which is something I genuinely struggle with.
