I worked with a woman at my last job who swore up and down that "car-mels" were the harder candies (individually wrapped) and "car-a-mel" was the more liquid caramel like topping for ice cream or in a Caramello. She could not be convinced otherwise.Comment

Disappointed it didn't have a map for the proper pronunciation of "Carnegie". All my life I have pronounced it like 'car-NAY-gie' and even went to school with someone with that last name and never heard it pronounced any other way. Though apparently some people pronounce it like 'CAR-ne-gie'. Wasn't until I was at my (then) future college for a sneak peak visit and I was walking with the guy who was hosting me (from Rochester, NY) and his friend (from Latrobe, PA), and the friend was asking me how to pronounce "Carnegie". The host pronunced it the second way while the friend pronunced it the 1st way (same as me).Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII
