I also think it has the best programming, TBH; followed closely by the NBA TV. Although, those shows where Shaq, Barkley and co. sit around and talk and debate is a great watch.
Agreed, MLB network is fantastic. I have to admit I have not watched any programming on NBA TV.

Anyway, completely random but I'm at a crossroads in my "OS career". I log onto the site daily and I'm starting to ignore the gaming sections I used to love to visit. I only come on here for the NBA forum with a dash of the 2k forum.

Is it weird to log onto a gaming site and ignore the gaming sections? I don't know if I'm tired of reading people's thoughts on what a dev should do or what...

      Man... #OSProblems haha
The only gaming section I visit on a somewhat regular bases is the Non Sports Gaming forum. Keeps me up to date on upcoming releases. Strictly for news and information. I don't bother with impressions. They can tend to do more harm than good in my opinion.

I'll pop into the sports gaming forums every couple of weeks for news on new features being added and whatnot. Again, not for impressions. I stop reading after the first post. The information is all I need.

Entertainment and The Neighborhood are the only two forums I visit regularly.

Nope. The only gaming section I go to is for Head Coach. I enjoy my games more when I don't read threads on here about them. I may post to ask a question and that's usually it.

I am also not mature enough to not get baited into stupid arguments.
This is why I'm stuck on the left side of the CFB thread.

I also couldn't care less about the developers being on here. In my mind they're only ultimately here to sell their game.

Yeah I barely venture to the NBA forums anymore. It has became stale. Same rehashed arguments/discussions and the same people always wanting to play devils advocate just for the sake of doing it.

The Neighborhood and Non-Sports Gaming are about the only two I frequent now.

I don't blame them for not doing a daily segment on the Toronto Raptors.

Same with some of the other leagues. The only teams getting a lot of coverage are the compelling or popular teams.
ESPN shouldn't really focus on Raptors since Raptors arent(and haven't) been playoff team in 5 seasons, but when they do talk about Raptors, most of the time it seems like Raptors get bashed in some way(mostly for the city itself). Gets annoying how many things in USA treats Toronto and Canada like they're some foreign 2nd world country. Canada is probably the most similar country in the world to USA in terms of sports, entertainment and stuff.

But it's not just a team like Toronto which media doesn't care about, it's playoff teams too.

Pacers been in playoffs 3 straight years(made it to eastern finals this year) and media still doesn't care much about them, basically saying Pacers have been irrelevant since Reggie retired.

Hawks in playoffs 6 straight years and you don't hear much mention of them(cause media cares only about big name guys)

I agree, every time I go to the US I make sure to watch a heavy dose of MLBN every chance i can get. Apparently the CRTC in Canada just gave the license for the channel here in Canada but as far as I know it hasn't shown up on any cable systems yet.

I do think NFLN is starting to show signs of catering to the same 6-8 team coverage the way ESPN has done for years but at least they still shine a focus on the less trendier teams and some of the other programming is top notch.

I don't really watch NBATV though I see they have a Doctor J documentary coming out (or already aired) that looks very interesting.

                      Re: Off Topic 2013

IMO the developers and Game Changers basically destroyed the Madden forum. Too many dudes up there be trying to impress them in the Madden forum. I swear a few of them would probably sell their kids and their mama if it meant they got an invite into the Game Changers program. So I just read and leave if new information is out.

NBA 2K forum is just as bad with all the people in there trying to impress the Da Czar with their basketball knowledge. And the roster section is nothing but a look at me and look what I did mosh pit. And when their rosters don't get the hype and attention that they thought it deserved, they will abandon the project, just to start a new one a month later with an even more flashier thread title that screams hey look at me.

And don't get me started with all these big channel Youtubers that spam the NBA 2K and Madden highlight thread with their montages and their hey come look at my Youtube channel posts. NCAA forum has it's moments too every time new info drop, people you never see post in there before, all of a sudden come in there being mouthy arguing over the smallest thing in every thread.

Post and leave, that has been my motto for the gaming forums for the past year now. Gone are the days where people actually had intellectual conversations of how to improve the game for the masses for free. Now everybody wants to get famous for it. They seen Leftos, Bumble14, WTFDaveyJ, ChaseB get hired by these gaming companies and now everybody trying to get hired too. A lot less sharing of information is going on now just for they can take the credit for it all for themselves.

Neighborhood, E&T and Non Sports forums is where I spend 97% of my time.

The square-off and then sneaky hockey-style crutch hit around the ref before he took off is where it got really good.

Haven't checked game forums in a long while. It's simply because I don't games as much, and when I do, I'm playing 2-3 year old games getting the most out of my franchise mode.

I prefer to poo at work. Pooing on the companies dime is great. Plus it gives me more free to to play video games/watch TV/take a nap when I'm at home. Win/win.
