    Re: Off Topic 2013

I have way too many games to play.
    • Bioshock 1 and 2
    • Borderlands 2
    • Killzone 2 and 3
    • The Last of Us (I'm about an hour into it)
    • Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time
    • The Saboteur
    • Red Dead Redemption
    • Batman Arkham Asylum
    • Deus Ex
    • Infamous

Oh, and I have a pretty solid career going with Arsenal in FIFA 13, and I just bought NCAA 14. I have to finish all of these before the PS4 drops, and I really want to play through Fallout 3 again.

I still haven't beaten God of War or Mass Effect this summer, so yeah. RPG games this generation just haven't kept my interest like they used to.

To be fair, neither of those games are "RPGs" in the definition of the genre. RPGs are sorely lacking though. Every major RPG (there are still some good smaller JRPG series) is focusing on fast-paced action and flashy, instead of story like they used to.

Seriously though, the house I'm living in this year doesn't have air conditioning so it's consistently a rain forest in here.
When my a/c broke last year, my apt got up to 103 degrees.

I felt worse for my dog, he just laid around panting all day, and yet he still wanted to play toys. It was a dilemma for me, I wanted him to be happy with toy times, but I didn't want to overheat him

            Start with Bioshock 1.

I am biased, it is my favorite series of games ever. So there's that.

I disagree. Since you're an hour into The Last of Us, see that out until the end. It's probably the greatest game I've ever experienced.

                About this winter/summer discussion.....

Winter is like that one annoying family member who only comes around every so often. You're happy to see them again at first, but after a little while you're thinking, "Can you just go the **** away already?"

Really, as long as I have air conditioning, give me summer over winter probably 8 times out of 10.

You're only saying that because you live in Canadia where there is always at least a foot of snow on the ground and a pond frozen over to play hockey on.

Down here in 'Merica in the places that actually have seasons it's a bit different.

This is true, but even still I'd like to think I would prefer summer over winter. It has it's moments and all but summer is where it's at.

Also, here's the key advantage summer has over winter: those girls that you might think are all bundled up because of the cold but are really just using their size as insulation for their jackets, that can't happen in the summer. And in the summer, two words.....

I like seeing women dress like sluts. I have a better chance of seeing this in the summer.

My personal answer to the sun dress is yoga pants. I'd take yoga pants, one of those stretchy lightweight long sleeve shirts and like a scarf or something over a sun dress any day.

Sun dresses are a decently compelling argument though.

I like yoga pants, but sun dresses dominate around here, unless you're hanging around Hoover, Mountain Brook, Vestavia, etc and even then its mostly sun dresses.

Played some poker and then hit up a bar for a few last night. I do love the way women dress during this of year.

OT,OT: anyone ever had to deal with an absessed(sp) tooth ? I've got an absess that just started bothering me recently. I've got a dentist appointment next week, but it got so bad that I had to actually bust it myself a few minutes ago. Absolutely disgusting and hurt like hell.

I would kill to have a local home game around here...haven't been to the casino in months and all of my friends either don't play poker or suck at it. I should just move to Atlantic City.

I went over to my friend's house and played with a few of his co workers, his dad, and uncle. It was fun. Those old dudes were coming up with some wild stuff. We just payed with $5.00 and played with change.

I was one of the last two standing and the guy asked if I wanted to call it, we both had come away with more than we had started out with (I had the "chip" lead). I didn't care about the money anyways. I just wanted to play and have fun.
