That's the reason I never buy them.

I bought Fifa 10 a few years ago and I was horrible at it.

I'm not that good at MLB The Show, Fifa, or NHL sports games.

Madden is flipping me out, right now. I just came off a game against the Panthers at home, where I could barely even score and won 17-14 on a late field goal.

Then I travel to the Giants and I'm blowing them out 42-7 at half. Mark Barron has a pick six and Eric Wright has two interceptions with one ran back for a touchdown and the other ran back to the one yard line. Doug Martin has 4 touchdown runs on 20 carries, with only 91 yards.

I'm going to have to put the subs in at half.. crazy. I run with a pretty good set of sliders and adjustments too and It's never this easy to score against the CPU. I guess that's what happens when Manning is throwing picks all game.

I'm absolutely terrible at NHL, but I enjoy playing it. It's the same with FIFA right now. It's a pretty nice change of pace from playing NCAA 13 all the time, and I like that.

Now, for The Show, I don't think I'm great, but it is my favorite sports game, just as baseball is my favorite sport. It's pretty much the only reason I have a PS3, other than using it primarily as a Blu-Ray player.

I played in an NHL league for NHL 09 and had some fun with that. We also had one of those EASHL league teams and it was fun. I seemed to be pretty good, when controlling just my one person. If I had to control the entire team, I couldn't react quick enough to make adjustments on my shots.

The Show was my main interest in owning a PS3 also. I love Uncharted and inFamous, but nothing compares to The Show. I'm not that great at any video game. I used to be pretty good while in High School but now I play more for fun rather than trying to beat a game on hard or rank up online.

That's a pretty solid plan you have there. If by chance however you wiegh the same at the end of the year, without the dog, then somewhere you managed go down the wrong path haha.

Only sports game I have trouble with is NBA 2k, but with the new shot stick addition this year I'm doing pretty good. My issue in the past was always the controls and being able to do all the moves and stuff. I don't think I ever tried hard enough to learn them though. lol

I still stick to the square button to shoot and double tap circle to spin haha. The right stick actually confuses me a lot.

I have troubles with 2k as well, not just NBA but also CHoops. I'm getting better though.

FIFA is also what got me into soccer, and I follow Man U (mostly due to Wayne Rooney, though I enjoy the team as a whole), Bayern Munich, Juventus (to a much lesser extent) and Colorado Rapids and the New England Revolution in the MLS. I actually like the fact that the MLS isn't great and that you mostly have to follow teams overseas because I have a tendency to choose teams based on my favorite players, and that's less frowned upon when there isn't a local team or one your family roots for.

My brother is a Chelsea fan, so when Man U (or Bayern, in the case of last years CL final) plays Chelsea, we literally have to sit on opposite sides of the room. It's really rather fun.

I'm still playing FIFA 10. Didn't like 11 or 12. I'm told 13 is extremely similar to 12. I almost gave up on it when I got fired by Celtic. I had 17 wins, 3 losses and 6 draws. I drew with Rangers, and dropped to 2nd place. I got this threatening message from the board. Won my next game and HOM drew, and went back in to 1st place, and they loved me again. Then I had another draw and fell back to 2nd. Boom, fired.

But now it's gotten so easy that the only thing I can do is take a League 2 team and bring them up into the EPL. Did it with Accrington. Think I played 8 seasons, and eventually won whatever they call the Champions League. Started another one with Burton Albion about a year ago. Got them in the EPL now, but I'm having a pretty bad first season there.

The Shawshank Redemption is such a fantastic movie. One of those movies you end up leaving on while flicking channels no matter how many times you've seen it.
