Re: Off Topic 2013
So, I try to be a great employee and log in remotely today (holiday) to finish up something.....and....apparently I'm the only user not set up for remote access. Good job IT, good job. I've been there 2 years, yet these ****ers never decided to get off their lazy asses and add me in.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
Both of these things are complete crap when they happen.
Catcher is just the worst thing ever invented on The Show and I simulate the rest of the game when it happens.
And they really think that I should be held accountable for letting the 6'10" PF score on my 6'0" PG/SG in the paint? Meh.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

I know I don't post a ton around these parts and this may seem kinda weird but if you guys could pray for me (if your a praying person) or just send some positive vibes my way that would be awesome. First place is over $7,000 today and even eighth place pays over a grand. I really want to go deep in this one.
There are 127 players left and the average stack is roughly $7,600.Comment

I've also been sick now for 2+ weeks and my ear is still f'd up, now I woke up feeling fatigued all over similar to the flu. I should probably go to the doctor soon I suppose.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Off Topic 2013
Well...I slept like the proverbial dead last night. I guess the late nights were getting to me.
Regarding LD relationships, I'll echo what others said earlier in that it's a total crapshoot but it does give the participants a lot more freedom when apart from each other. Of course, the flip side to all that is that there has to be a lot more trust put in each other than you would if you were closer.
In other news, a package I was waiting for in the mail was taking a LOOOONG time to get here well, it turns out the person who mailed it to me sent it to my old address by mistake. Luckily, I only live down the street from where I used to live.
I think i've also mentioned that i'm moving again this year. The original plan was for my parents and I to live in a condo while my sister and her husband live in a house. Well, the plan has changed and she's allowing us to live with them and help pay her mortgage. There'll be a separation of some kind in the house so we won't be getting all up in each others' faces which sometimes occurs these days. The preliminary plan is that i'll have a whole basement to myself.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Off Topic 2013
While looking through some files in my office, I found a wage sheet from 2006 for the person that held the job prior to me. She made $10,000 more than I do now (51k vs. 41k), despite being a poor employee and holding a lesser title than I do now.
What would you do with this information? Should I just chalk it up to the cost of being in a poor economy (although we did have our best year ever in 2012), or should I bring this with me to my annual review to support my cause?Ryan Spencer

Re: Off Topic 2013
We had a whopping 162 entries today and we started with the usual $6,000 in chips. At the first break I have exactly $10,550 in chips and am at a great table. I've been playing pretty fast and aggressive this week and its been working. I pulled off a HUGE semi-bluff in a five way pot a little while ago and then showed my uncalled hand (something I almost NEVER do) putting a couple of players on tilt.

I was in the big blind and had $10,250 in chips. The dude under the gun goes all-in for around $4,000. A player in middle position who had over $35,000 in chips just flat calls the $4,000 bet. It is folded all the way around to me and I look down (I never look at my hand until it is my turn to act) and see A-K. I went all-in for my $10,250 figuring it would get rid if the big stack and leave me heads-up with the original raiser. Nope. This jackass calls another $6,000+ with A-J. The original raiser had a meager K-9.
Boom! Jack on the flop and I'm busted.
If my hand would have held up I would have over $25,000 going into the second break but instead I'm dust. Third week in a row where I had the best hand when the money went in and got eliminated. That's poker.Comment
