Re: Off Topic 2013
One of my friends sprung some news on me last night that just made me say.. "What the ****?".
His little sister (18) is now dating one of our other good friends of a long long time. He said the guy sprung it on him after I left the lake Saturday.
I've been friends with this guy for almost 19 years (I'm 23 now) and his little sister is just like a sister to me and most of us who have been around for years and years so I get protective of her sometimes too.
It's a weird situation and it's a dead end situation. She will be leavin' for college soon and it's not going to work out + it makes things awkward for EVERYONE, especially considering how much time he was all ready spending at their house.
I'm not doing a good job of explaining this, but how would you guys react if someone who was your close friend for years and years suddenly decided he was going to date your sister without consulting you about it first. My friend says he hasn't spoke to either of them in a week and they are both at his house most days of the week.
I didn't like it and neither does he. That's just something that would never cross my mind, but after being best friends since kindergarten his family is basically my extended family..
All it's going to do is **** up a good friendship, honestly.Comment

If you're single and on a losing streak with women, go to a gym and hit on a cute, but slightly chubby girl who's working out. If she's dedicated to working out, you get in on the ground floor before she gets a body and moves onto dating professional athletes and her self esteem will be so low that she'll be willing to go out with anyone. You're welcome.#RespectTheCultureComment

The subdivision/road I live on is called Bear Cave. If you haven't figured it out, it's because there's a bear cave up in the woods. I'm well antiquated with bears, every now and then one will just walk down the road.
Leave them be and they'll let you be.And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Re: Off Topic 2013
Anyways, never seen a bear up close outside of a zoo. There are several reports a year of bears wandering into populated areas in the suburbs every year though. Someone once reported seeing a big cat (i.e. mountain lion) behind a Burger King that was 5 a minute walk from my house though I'm pretty sure they were either making it up or were seeing things.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

I'm bored and just happened to look through the local sheriffs website here to see who got arrested last night and found that a former co-worker of mine was arrested for his 3rd DUI last night as well as driving on a suspended license for the 3rd time. Unbelievable.Indianapolis Colts

In other news, I hate when I have to keep my candy bars in the fridge during the summer so they don't melt because then you have to wait for them to warm up a bit before eating them. I always either don't wait long enough and it's still rock solid when I try to bite it or I was to long and it's all melty.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

I'm engaged to my best friends sisters best friend. We met at their house. They were a little salty at first, but obviously it's a serious relationship so they don't care anymore. I realize we're the exception to the general rule but you never know, like I said.
It's only awkward if you guys make it that way. Just treat them both how you always have. No sense is being all sour about it, just wish them the best.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
