I think golf is the most stressful game, but baseball has it's moments for the mental game. When you are at bat in a do-or-die scenario, especially against a hot pitcher. Or if you are the closer and have the biggest bats to face in a decisive game.

I love that football is really the only sport left where a team can be the reflection of the head coach whereas in other sports it's such a player dominated environment that the coach can't mold the team the way he sees fit. This development has turned NBA coaches into glorified babysitters but at least in the NHL there are still coaches who can implement a system as the Detroit Red Wings style has spread itself out to a couple other teams and the remnants of the Dead Puck era NJ Devils remains in some places like Nashville.

Re: Off Topic 2013
Question for y'all. I was thinking about this today and couldn't decide... If you could play one sport at the highest level (ability is not being an obstacle, AKA you could play with the best of 'em but not be heads and tails above anyone else), which would you choose?
For me it'd either be baseball or European football (soccer, if you like). Baseball because it's been my favorite sport since I've been really young and soccer because playing at the highest level would mean getting not only to play a professional sport, but also an opportunity to travel the world. And I can't decide which.Ravens: In Ozzie We Trust

Re: Off Topic 2013
Nah I was serious. I thought it was a good one. But I'm sure some basketball diehards can get on you over that comment though. I don't care enough about basketball to be that guy though.
But coaches in the nfl seem to be accountable as babysitters as well. Especially college coaches. They seem to always take the heat for their players doing dumb things.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
I believe I'd like to be a basketball player. It's my favourite sport to play, when I was a kid I dreamed about playing in the NBA and if I could I'd be the only active national player in the league so maybe more people would follow the sport, and the money would also be good. Despite that I'm not sure if I'd want to be a star player since I don't like much being on the spotlight, I prefer more to be a team player and a key piece to a team.Comment

Golf for sure.
You don't even have to be in any sort of pristine shape. You only have to be the 70th best player every week. You get to travel to a new city every week. Endorsement/Sponsorship deals are lucrative and you can take off whenever you want for however long you want to.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

If WWE is an option then that would be it.
Good mention, Shiz.
I could make enough money to live comfortably, travel the world and train for free in some top notch facilities everywhere, meet cool people, and entertain people as long as my name isn't Zack Ryder.
I would settle for just being a referee if that's what it came down to.

I'd be like The Undertaker is now a days.
I might work Royal Rumble, WM, SummerSlam and Survivor Series though (with a couple RAWs inbetween here and there.)
I agree though, they do so much work year-round it's unbelievable. Props to anyone that does that and enjoys it.badComment

Re: Off Topic 2013
Its just like most anything else. If its something you love and are passionate about, the grind is worth it. I wouldn't want to be a baseball player.
I like baseball, but spending the majority of my time each year playing it would get old to me.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
I'd take NFL Runningback, WWE Superstar, NHL Goalie, or MLB Closer.
Golf would also be fun, but it just doesn't appeal to me as much as the above ones. Both WWE and MLB would be just to let me have an entrance video/song. Just always thought it would be awesome.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
And I'm the complete opposite. I'd play baseball 365 days a year if I could, but a 16 game NFL schedule? It doesn't seem that long, but I'm sure I'd be burnt out by mid-season.MLB: Minnesota Twins
