8 - 9 - Browse the internet
9 - 11 - actual work
11 - 11:30 - Candy Crush/internet time
11:30 - 1ish - Lunch
1 - 5 - some work mixed with internet and more CC

There's usually a dump around mid to early morning mixed in there too

Yeah, its been taking me some time to get used to being addresses by my last name for everything.

Had a chief get on to me for not saluting the flag yesterday. My recruiter had honestly never made me do it, so I just walked on in and sat down.

You're supposed to salute the recruiter and say "Future Sailor requesting permission to come aboard" and then once he says its okay you salute the flag.

Then to leave you say the same thing except "Requesting permission to go ashore."

He asked me why I didn't salute the flag and I just apologized and said I should have. Then he told my recruiter who's a Chief Petty Officer that he should have corrected me..lol.

I actually like my recruiter. He's down to Earth and o stop on when I'm near the mall to hang out a minute and say hey. I didn't hang around long with that Chief there.. It seemed too awkward.

The only nickname I've ever had was Malloof and thanks to Twitter, Could Be. Malloof is an inside jokes with the guys I played football with.



Anyway, I won lunch today.

Sautéed onions, toasted buns, Zapp's Voodoo Chips, Cajun Seasoned fries, overabundance of hot sauce (and ketchup), and finally, fried waffle (FRIED WAFFLE).

A whole new world is about to open up to you, but always keep in mind that a lot of the BS that you deal with in boot doesn't exist afterwards when you get to the Fleet. Some things do, but for the most part most of that stuff is just meant to change your culture. However, after you go through it, you will always have a new-found respect for the Flag that will probably stay with you for a lifetime.

You will learn quick about all the little rules and regulations for doing every damn thing, even how you walk. Just wait until you get on base, there will be no asking of why you didn't do something, they will just smoke you where you stand.

Lord help you if you outside when it is raining or snowing getting smoked. Oh you will feel it.

Yeah, I had to use the gas grill and I hate using it (inb4 hank hill), but they weren't overcooked at all. But it I agree it doesn't look right.

I was just talking about studying in the Union or the outdoor Amphitheater between breaks.

I'd be bored if I had hung around on campus during the day. Not really much going on.

Just saw a lady drive by, smoking a black and mild with all four windows up and a child in a car seat. I wish someone would slap some sense into her because of her negligence. That child shouldn't have to suffer because of her bad habit.
