I've been working since 6am est, but since I got about a 2 hour lunch and dinner break, I'll soon be ready to finish the job and get to bed, but not before 4am. And, of course, this day just wouldn't be the same if I wasn't running off of about 3 hours of sleep. It's been one of the more enjoyable Saturdays I've had in a while.

I hear I missed a thriller between Auburn and Georgia.

Yeah Boxing Day is and has been pretty much dead the past few years here. I know the last 2 years or so it seems like we're trying to adopt Black Friday more and more.

On one hand I do miss the excitement of Boxing Day but on the other hand I sure as hell don't miss the hordes of people and traffic, the lineups, and just the overall madness.

Some stores with the "30 day price match" rule(where if you find the item you bought,at a cheaper price,within 30 days of buying that product,you can tell the store and they'll match the price for you) matches even on boxing day for certain items, I don't believe TVs/Laptops are included, but for someone who is buying a specific thing but just wanting to see if price drops or not, might as well buy it in mid-December and then when price drops on boxing day, just get them to match the price and give you back some money.

Sometimes stores might even do it on TVs and stuff, but not often.

Asked this a few days ago but no answer: I wanna get an iPhone for my fiancé. I tried Googling it regarding price but can't find any concrete information. She's not eligible for an upgrade, neither am I, and I'd prefer not to buy from Craigslist/eBay. It's gotta be a Verizon one, too. Think that's how it works.

Off Topic 2013

One of the stranger occurrences at work just now. Apparently by our back door where we receive our trucks and customers pick up their furniture pieces, about 50 firefighters were having a meeting/demonstration/class. Four or five of their fire trucks, the whole deal. Anyway, my GM is like ummm, we have to use this area, could you guys go somewhere else? It wasn't like this was a scheduled event, they just kind of showed up. That back area isn't used that much on weekends because we don't get shipments then but we get plenty of customers who pick up on the weekends. One was on their way around actually.

I respect these dudes hard. I mean, they walk into things that are on fire. That's some grown stuff right there.

But damn it was intimidating to just try to take the trash out with all these firefighters staring at you for interrupting their meeting. Not just that, but they're looking into our stock room, making comments and stuff. They didn't even say anything to me, no "how ya doing," no recognition in general. They're like leaning onto our back dock as I'm trying to shut the back gate.

They weren't too pleased when I used the fire extinguisher as a door stop. One older guy said something about it as I'm closing the gate. I get it man, but can I do my job without y'all staring at me like I punched your grandma? I respect you but damn.

One of the most awkward moments of my life.

Coworker passed away in a serious car accident 2 days ago. It's crazy how sudden you can be with someone and the next day they're gone. Everyone be safe and take care. Don't take anything for granted.
