Just trying to add a bit of levity to a heavy deal, man. You know I'm on your side, just like everyone else here. One thing is that I'm happy for you that you've had time to prepare for this and say what you want to say to her.

Trust me, she will still celebrate all of your accomplishments in life from the other side. You'll see what I mean. But I understand, totally; it's not the same as her being right there for such things.

Aw man, I'm awfully sorry for what's been happening over the course of the past week.

Losing a parent sucks. My condolences. Be there for your family, and don't be afraid to let your emotion show. You're losing your mom. If you aren't crying, something is wrong.

And remember, this is your thread to grieve as well. Anytime you need to write something out, don't hesitate to come here and express your feelings. You know your OS family will always be here to hear ya out.

Hey least your and your mother know where it's at. Gotta love the powder blues! (just trying to lighten the mood)

I gotta echo what Dan said, she'll be there on the other side watching over you through all the big milestones in your life. It may not be the same but it's true. It looks to me like you and your mother were close and had a great relationship so hold on to the good times and she'll always be in your heart.

At least this way you've had time to prepare yourself as it's a lot better than it happening right out of the blue which has happened to me and other family members. I just wish there was something more that we can all do to make it better.

I am so sorry Dog, I know no words will make you feel better, believe me I know. Find some one to talk to, counseling, friends anything. Don't rush grieving take as long as you need and don't let other people dictate how you should do it. Please PM me or anything if you need a shoulder to cry on, somebody to talk to or whatever. I have some good sites for grieving and info if you want it.

I will pray for you, your mother and your family. I hope you can find strength and some peace.

PS Keep posting here if you need to , I have been ever since my daughter passed and it helps. These really are great folks and a good family.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Jonathan.

I certainly don't want to derail your thread but coincidentally I got a call about an hour from my sister saying that my grandmother just passed away.

She had been sick for awhile, but got really bad a few days ago. If you guys don't mind please say a prayer for my family and myself as I make the long trek back home.

Also for those of you with mom's, grandmother's, kid's or whatever just give them a big hug and let them know how much you love them.

I appreciate it guys and I will continue to pray for you and your family J.
