Update: she is warmed up and they have been slowly taking her off the sedatives...very very slowly.

But apparently she was responding to things (I don't know in what way or how) so her brain activity looks to be at the very least "ok" at this point.

She has a small fever and some other things so they won't try to wake her up now. They don't know when she will wake up but they *seem* confident that it WILL happen. Or at least that's what I got out of it.

Hope your mom gets better. Glad to hear things are getting better for her and the family. I know that none of us wants bad things to happen to anyone we love. I'll keep my thoughts and prayers not just to your family but also everyone who is in need of help. I know I can't do much, but I hope everyone and everything gets better especially in this year of 2013. Stay Optimistic.

Update: Still in a coma, and also has a fever. But her numbers seem good, and the nurse (probably mistakingingly) told us that they might try to wake her tomorrow. So I'm crossing my fingers

I'm glad to hear that she is at least making some progress....hoping for the good word right along with you.
