    Re: Uncommon Opinions

I think hiking and/or taking long walks for any pointless reason is a massive waste of time.

Case in point - on vacation in Cape Cod right now, it's a beautiful beach day (we're staying in a house five minute walk away from beach) and my mother/her boyfriend decide to plan a trip to Provincetown, 45 minutes away, to walk around and look at stupid shops.

**** man. I think the beach is overrated as ****, too, but at least there I can read a book and not have to pretend to be interested in the views from the pier of boats or the cool tourist shops and ****.

Walking around looking at shops? **** bores me to tears. I don't like aimlessly wondering when I'm buying things.

I wouldn't equate those with hiking, though. Exercise and the great outdoors? Sign me up.

Eh, hiking to me is the same - pointlessly walking around to look at things (shops compared to nature/views) with no real end point.

I enjoy sitting outside and reading it writing for my great outdoors time. If I want exercise I'll work out

I just think it was nice your mom's boyfriend let you come along. Because a lot of boyfriends would have been like ummm your son is grown and in his mid 20s, he not coming on vacation with us.

I'm the same way. Every time we go on vacation my wife knows that we're going to do one of two things... going biking or going hiking... sometimes both. Horseback riding is another thing I like to do. The main reason I like doing those things on vacation is because you can't do them around here really.

I'm not even a workout person either. I just enjoy seeing the scenery and doing stuff that I can't do around here. Of course, I'm all about the "pay off" at the end too... so biking to swim in a Cenote in Progreso Mexico and hiking for an hour (each way) to get to the top of Diamond Head to view panoramic views of Waikiki and Honolulu were both totally worth it.

I don't know if I would ever move from where I'm at, but if I could move anywhere, moving somewhere with lots of outdoor activity (mountains, beaches, etc.) would be at the top of my list..... just behind great restaurants.

Typically there is an end-point, though. I will usually pick a trail and map it out before I go. Its nice to know where I'm going beforehand so I'm literally not walking around aimlessly.

The exercise aspect of hiking is a solid side benefit, but I like diving into the woods and being alone. No thoughts, no sounds. Just nothing. Its really great. Everything else is just extra to me.

Jeremy, sounds like you need to visit the Shenandoah Valley. Great local restaurants. Great brews. Great views.

Yeah I completely agree, consistently causing controversies, singing as terrible as a human being possibly could, then using auto-tune to make it sound somewhat better, and getting arrested for completely ridiculous reasons is a hell of a talent! uploadfromtaptalk1407902235926.jpg Welcome to 2014!

The kid had talent when he was younger. Can't knock him, he was really the first person to use Youtube/social media to get someone famous to recognize him (Usher) and put him on to make millions. Yeah he's a real douche but he does have talent and at least earned his fame unlike the Kardashians of the world.

Vocally he's not the best but I think part of that is once puberty hit he had to adjust and became vocally weaker.

And that's more about Bieber than any 24 y.o. male should write lol. His earlier stuff isn't that bad TBH, catchy teeny bop music yeah but he's obviously lost his way the past few years.
