It's a video showing how people reacted to the most memorable and breathtaking moment in the history of United States soccer.

Many have already made up their minds about the game itself, so I can only appeal to people's sensibilities by showing them how that moment played out all across the country in the same exact way and how incredible it was. It brought communities together, all Americans hanging on all the frustrations, waiting and waiting and waiting until that miraculous goal by our best player in the waning seconds to put us through the group stage and into the single-game elimination rounds.

If anyone, as a sports fan and an American, is not moved by something like that, then there's no real hope for you.

Soccer is not my favorite sport.

Some of the most memorable sporting events I've ever watched were in World Cups, including arguably the greatest sports moment of my life.....

If you guys don't think this is absolutely stunning and incredible, I don't know what else to say except it's an unbelievable shame how much you're missing out:

You could just say we have an "uncommon opinion".

And I'll add another uncommon opinion. I would rather it be cold outside everyday then hot and humid.

Soccer is awesome.

I love how psyched people here in Japan are about the World Cup.

I prefer watching La Liga and the Premier League over MLS, though.

Aston Villa and Valladolid!!

I didn't start appreciating it until about three years ago, though. I won't try convincing anyone to love it because you either get it or you don't. If it's not your thing then that's cool, but for me it's a phenomenal sport and a lot of fun to watch.

I think soccer takes a little more background knowledge of the game and an understanding of what's going on to really get into (the WC being somewhat of an exception). I was lucky to learn the game at a very young age, so even games that end up 0-0 are very exciting to me....

So your defense of soccer being boring is to...not show video of soccer?

Do you really not understand the correlation of the two and how that video would speak to the contrary?

I totally agree here. My ideal weather is like 50/60 degrees with some sun, or something where wearing shorts and a hoodie is comfortable.

I don't know if it's because I sweat more than the average human, but I hate the heat. I also hate that instant sticky feel as soon as you do something outside when it's super humid.

Yep no real hope for me as an American because I don't like soccer and don't want to watch a soccer tournament.

Soccer fans are so ****ing insecure it's not even funny. That said, I'll be watching the World Cup. International play is the only time I pay attention to soccer.

You say that, but there is a reason.


I can't think of another sport that has more people bash it than soccer. You can't really talk about soccer without someone saying "Oh soccer sucks", or something to that extent. Soccer provokes those comments for some reason, it makes me lol.

I got nothing against soccer. Its just boring to watch. Big *** field, lots and back and forth, whenever it looks like something is about to happen, the ball is intercepted and then we get more back and forth.

I only get into it if its a big game and the US is involved. Other than that it just isnt for me. My grandma is crazy for Brazil's team though. When they are on she forces the whole family to come through and watch it. Brazil futbol is a big deal in my family which is curious since we're not Brazilian. Never made much sense to me.
