Identical to a fried cheese of any variety at that point. I think McDonalds is advertising those now, might as well save some money.

No comparison to fresh curds vs ones that were frozen and then fried in breading.

The crazy thing to me is McDees has 3 little mozz sticks on the McPick menu as if they're equal to a McDouble or a McChicken. I don't understand how a burger or chicken sammich are scaled to the same price as three little measly mozz sticks

I feel like I'm too old and make too much money to be eating something like tator tots. And sloppy Joes. (I'm all about the dollar menu, though)

I have some pretty low standards in my daily life; tator tots, sloppy Joes, and guys that don't watch football are pretty much the only things I like down on.

Tater tots are good, man. Are you going to tell me that adults can't have corn dogs next? Sonic has these " Extreme Tater Tots" that tots with chili, cheese, onions, jalapenos and ranch dressing.... that's by far the best thing on Sonic's menu.

Nobody's down with fried okra?

Hell yeah I'm down with fried okra. Fried squash, cabbage, black eyed peas, cornbread. All of the classics.

Hard boiled eggs on salads. Gross.

Thoughts?

Boiled eggs on salad = Good.

I can't do mushrooms in any form. Fried or otherwise. And fried okra is a hard pass for me. That being said, my fried food rankings:

1. Cheese Curds
2. Curly Fries
3. French Fries (w/ Malt vinegar)
4. Onion Rings

The rest of the bunch comes after, because I'm blanking on other fried appetizers.

Oh, and also Curly Fries > Crinkle Cut Fries> French Fries> Tater Tots. Tots are delicious though. Fried potatoes are never a disappointment regardless of form.

Your list is solid, but I don't know what a cheese curd is... I know what it rhymes with though.

Oh man, when I was a bachelor in my 20's corn dogs and tater tots was one of my go to meals.. That, pizza and hot wings, black eyed peas and rice, asparagus sandwiches or fast food was pretty much my rotation of dinner every night.

That's why once I found a Cajun woman that could cook I knew I had to reel her in. Of course, I gained like 40 pounds our first year together, but at least I still have a good personality.

Never said just a cheese curd is the same as a mozzarella stick. I'd bet a whole $1 that in a blind taste test 90% of people couldn't tell the difference in taste once they are fried. Either way it still ruins the cheese curd. It just becomes fried cheddar cheese at that point.

I think we are debating in circles know, but I guess I have accomplished the point of the uncommon opinion.

SBN, I just have one question for you. Have you ever had actual fresh, battered/fried-to-order cheese curds? Your posts indicate to me that maybe you haven't.
