I like their forums....gives you somewhere to learn more about stuff. Obviously it's a forum so you'll get whiners and stuff like we have here, but there's cool info as well.

For now I've been RC, so with the RC website, the forum above, and a travel agent that family has used we're pretty good....

Yeah this is the place to go. My mother was a cruising expert and was always on there getting info and stuff from the boards.

We have thought about doing a cruise before, but I get motion sickness pretty easily and I am afraid I will be sick. Some say you can't feel it but others say you can. I would hate to be stuck on a cruise and sick the whole time.

I've only been on the largest cruise ship ever, so I'll let you know what I think after the next cruise on a much smaller boat (was largest in 1990-ish lol).

I didn't really feel much and had no sickness on the big boat, but doesn't mean you wouldn't...Probably best for you to try a shorter cruise first perhaps.

              Re: Cruises

Have fun on a cruise, I enjoyed my Mediterranean cruise two years ago.

Hope this doesn't happen to anyone...

Speaking to CNN, passenger Ann Barlow said: “It’s disgusting. It’s the worst thing ever”, while her husband Toby told the news channel there is “sewage running down the walls and floors”, with passengers asked to defecate in plastic bags and urinate in showers due to their being only five working toilets between 4,200 people.

Food supplies are said to be running low, with passengers forced to queue for hours for cold onion and cucumber sandwiches, and there are also reports of fights breaking out as groups of “savages” fight over the dwindling supplies.
"Most people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them"

After living on a boat I never want to go on a cruise.

I've been on three cruises, one on Royal Caribean and two on Holland America. All three were great.

There is medication for sea sickness that works great. we could never feel the boat move at all any way.

Yeah they have pills and a patch for behind your ears. They work very well. Especially since cruise ships handle pretty well. A lot better than what I go through.

                        Re: Cruises

Unless there are rough seas you will never feel it. It's probably 95% mental. I leave the 5% because when you get back on land you walk a little funny for a couple hours. I went on a 5 day back in 2003 and the only day I could feel it was a day there were really rough seas. You could look out the back of the boat though and it would be sea, sky, sea, sky.

I've never really had a problem with feeling the motion of the boat. The times I was on Royal Caribbean, I never felt anything. For some reason I felt it when I was on Carnival. Even then, it wasn't anything major.
