    Re: Cringe-inducing childhood memories?

When I was around 7ish we lived on a quasi-chip sealed road. My sister was probably 4. For some reason she ended up naked out in the road playing. Rather than telling my parents I decided to take matters into my own hands. I grabbed her by the arm and drug her across the road, cutting her up on the sharp rocks.
I got in a bit of trouble for that one.

Worst thing I can recall doing was sometime around 10-12...

We used to go out to Lake Guntersville in Alabama for the 4th of July since my buddy's uncle lived on the lake. We would catch fish, put bottle rockets in their mouth, and then throw them back in and watch them pop.

Looking back, I'm still surprised that we thought that was amusing.

I was probably about 10 so this is maybe 1991, there's a girl in my neighborhood, highschool age, probably jr or sr, she decides in the early afternoon she's going to tan in her front yard in her two piece.

She lives at the end of the street my house is on and I am coming home for lunch on my bike.

I see her laying there and start to make my turn, but am not really watching where my bike is going because I am trying to look at her boobies

Well since she lives at the end of the street there's a stop sign pole, since I am not watching where I am going due to the 'distraction' I ride nuts first into the pole.

Her dad is washing the car, and they both hear the smack of a kid hitting an aluminum pole w/ his nuts and his bike and immediately turn their attention to me...

        Are you....okay?!

Here I am holding myself pacing around in a fever because my little 10 yr old balls were just smashed, and after falling to the ground and holding myself I get back up a few short moments later and shamefully walk the next qtr mile home hunched over while the pain travels up to my stomach.

Some yrs later, Renee, as her name turns out to be is in college, and working as a summer camp chaperone, and who goes to the camp? Me.... and who still remembered me crashing my balls against the pole... her...

I had several in 4th grade as I think the impending birth of my sister gave me some anger problems or whatever. In aftercare they were putting in new grass on the field near the sidewalk, I was told to get off of it and I created the biggest scene ever for some reason.

Football was a huge thing for us in 4th grade, we used to always do 4th vs 5th graders in aftercare and we always won. One day we were practicing and one of my good friends skipped me in line, so naturally I screamed "WE GOTTA PRACTICE" and gave him an uppercut to the chin that made him bleed everywhere cause he had braces. Funny thing is this story gets told a lot cause we've been pretty good friends since and he lives in the apartment right below me.

7th grade this kid would always just mess with me, and I think he knew that I would get angry pretty easily so he always pushed me to see. One day in English class he said something about my family or what not and I just wasn't having any of it so I picked up a dictionary and did the John Cena you can't see me thing and threw it right at his face. Got 3 days detention for that

LOL, I can picture your parents telling the nurse what happened and the nurse just thinking "Yeah, OK, he jumped on a shovel and the handle hit him square in the nose. That's a new one." Then leaving the room and immediately calling Social Services.

                Re: Cringe-inducing childhood memories?

Oh okay, I thought of one...

I was in seventh grade (yes, seventh grade, so don't ask again later). For our AS English class, we had to do a book presentation based on one of a select number of novels. I read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I bet you might know where this is going...

Too bad that, even with a mix of African American blood inside of me, I had never, ever, ever in my life been exposed to the n-word. It's just not in our community, household, or had I been watching R-rated movies or what have you to have heard the word. That said, I knew when reading it that the word was describing a certain type of people, but I really had no idea what.

So I'm presenting the book, and every other sentence I say the n-word. I would say things like: "And then the ******s did this, and then the ******s did that..." My presentation must have lasted about seven minutes, and when I finished, I received no applause. I looked at a crowd of wide-eyed faces, mouths agape. My teacher was sitting on his desk, head tilted, and kind of just looking at me. He said: "Do you know what that n-word means?" I said: "******s?" Everyone cracked up. He put me on the spot and explained it to me. I was shamefaced the rest of the period, but students gave me props for saying it dozens of times during my presentation.

I didn't really know what was going on. Now I cringe from it, but I think my obliviousness makes everything equally as hilarious as it makes it embarrassing.

                  Re: Cringe-inducing childhood memories?

I was the last sibling out of 3 (for a while), so I always got the short end of the stick when I played games with my brother and sister. In order to avoid this, when I was about 3 years old, I came up with a game of my own, and since I knew that my siblings would only play with me if they were the main characters, I made myself the villain.

The goal of the game was for me (the villain) to kidnap my sister (the princess) and keep her from her my brother (the prince). Well one day, we were playing on the steps, and my brother and I were fighting over the "princess", and of course, I lost, and let go of her. I instantly fell down the stairs and landed face first onto the hardwood floor. My face is now jacked up and my gums and teeth are dislodged. That was pretty stupid...

Playing bottle rocket tag and getting one in the Dome piece.

Also one time when Lion King first came out my brother was climbing up to the top bunk, he got to the last step do I Grabbed his hands and said "Long live the king" and threw his hands backwards which led to him falling backwards. To this day I swear it seemed like he fell for like 5 minutes with this terrified look on his face waving his arms. I still get a chuckle out of it.

Food pranks: I was over at a friends house and his older brother asked me if I wanted any ice cream and I said yes. Well he came back down with a bowl and I started to eat it. It tasted wierd, he starts busting out laughing and I think about why for a second before turning on the light and checking the bowl. There I see ice cream, cat treats, toilet water, ketchup and a hocked lougie all in the bowl. I proceed to puke right there and all the way to the bowl. Best thing is his mom made him clean it up.

My revenge scheme though was hilarious because his whole family helped me plot it. He was the only person in the house that ate Mayo so I came up with the idea to open a condom and put it in the bottom of his private jar. His dad set up a camera in the kitchen just do we could catch when he seen it. It was like a month but it was well worth it. He scraped the jar and must have not noticed it until he took a bite of his sandwich. So freaking funny seeing him freak out and vomit everywhere. After that we called a food prank truce that I still honor to this day.

                      Re: Cringe-inducing childhood memories?

In 7th grade english I didnt have the homework; I was going through a rebel phase I guess. Anyway the teacher asks me "Do you have your homework?" and I said no. She then asked "Oh, whats new?" with the corresponding roll of the eyes attitude. So I respond "Not your face!" Im lucky she had bigger fish to fry with the other demon spawn kids in that class. If she had called my house about that incident I may not be able to type this story out today. I felt bad and never talked back to a teacher since.

I did tell my football coach to **** off once when he went overboard with punishments. He had us indian run 3 miles after long *** practice. And because we walked the last few steps from exhaustion, the bastard told us to run it all again and "give more effort". I was like "get the **** out of here" and walked off practice. Thank god I was the biggest kid and he didnt instant kick me off the team. I never did it again. I still hated that coach. Dline coaches are insane.

                      I regret all of it.

I had to be about 6-7 and I decided to play "car" my sticking keys in an electrical socket and turning it...to make it worse the socket was at the top if a counter....

After like 10 minutes the socket exploded and I was knocked from the counter and landed on my back...spent that night in the hospital...

Oh man where to even begin I have so many dumb kid memories.

                            - When I was 4 or 5 it was right before I started Kindergarten I went to a little Playground by my house with my Dad, there were kids that were a little bigger maybe 6-7 there, and they really started to pick on me. Kept a ball away from me, kind of pushed me away. I remember I looked at my Dad with this kind of look in my eyes, "Make them stop, come over and force them to give me the ball." and my Dad just sat there on the bench. When we went home I asked my Dad. "Why didn't you come and stick up for me?" and I remember to this day his response was "You have to learn how to stand up for yourself, I can't always be there for you."

                            - In 2nd grade I think we just started to have computer class, this was before Boys - Girls were really interested in each other, but I remember I sat next to this really pretty girl.. and to be pretty in 2nd grade was something. At that point I wasn't even into girls like that, I just remember thinking to myself man this girl is good looking I like sitting next to her.

Still early on in the school year, one day we went to the computer lab and one of my classmates was sitting in my seat I said. "Hey you're in my seat." and he said "Oh, I'm going to be sitting here now." I kind of just shrugged and went to the back of the room and found another Computer to work on for the rest of the time we had Computers. It wasn't a big deal to me back then because it was before that age, but looking back I kind of laugh and go man that guy played me.

                            - In third grade I threw a pair of scissors across the room, (not aiming at anyone, it was just against the Closet) and I got completely blasted by the Substitute teacher, and I got thrown out of class. Had to sit in the Hallway for a good 30 minutes. I had to be the only 3rd grader to get thrown out of class at that time lol.

My sister and I standing in doorway looking outside. My sister had a dress she was asking mom about. When she was done she turned around to go back inside and the hook of hanger went in my eye.

She panicked and let go and I stood there with a dress hanging from my eye... I screamed.

Mom came running and got it out. Luckily it just caught the outside corner and did no damage (that I'm aware of lol)

I think the worst thing I did was write curse words on my teachers desk in 5th grade.

Other than that I can't remember many stupid/embarrassing incidents until I got to high school.

I do have very fond memory that makes me cringe because of sheer pain. I was in maybe 6th grade at this time. My best friend and I were outside riding our bikes around the street and two guys that lived near us came up to us and wanted to race up and down the street. I accepted, but my friend decided to just watch. Well.. midway through the race I'm in 1st and I look back to see where they are and then BAM... slammed right into a mailbox. I don't know how I turned so far over to hit the mailbox, but I did. That hurt like hell. Someone called the ambulance, I think it was my mom, but I was OK. And when I say OK I mean no broken bones or any severe damage. I had cuts and scrapes and felt like I just got hit by a mack truck lol. My whole body felt bruised the rest of the night.
