I feel like it's been like that for me for years. For things like school, I have hard time remembering information, even if I go over it so many times.

Yet other things like tv shows, sports, I can remember things that happened days/weeks ago even though I only saw/heard it ONCE.

I can remember some of the most random things that happened YEARS ago, but seems like whenever it relates to school work or something, I'm just unable to really remember it. I've tried many diff studying methods and nothing works. Maybe there's something I'm just doing wrong? Or some kind of memory issue?

Even when I do assignments for classes, the things I do are real good quality work and I get high marks on them, but its just when it comes to having to remember stuff, that I can't seem to do it.

(even if it is some sort of issue, there's obviously no way to change how I take tests/exams in school)
I can relate to this as well. I can tell you Kirby Puckett's batting average in 1993 (.296), but I can guarantee I'll forget about at least one of my assignments for class over the next week.

i tried not touching anything when i was younger and ended up pissing all over myself.

When I hit middle age and the memory started to slip on occasion it bothered me until it got to be the "new normal"...

Now, I just really don't sweat it much or really TRY to retain all the fairly useless trival stuff I used to think was "important"...

        That being said:

If you pulled out a Topps Baseball card from the 70's and covered up the players name, I could guess who it is about 95% of the time...

I tried to imbed a Louis Black bit where he talks about the fact that it takes a handful of his sixtysomething posse to help each other recreate the description of a movie they all saw...using phrases like "you know, the guy...that guy from the movie" etc...it's all based in a vague shorthand that they all understand, without being able to add any actual "proper noun clarification"...

        It's funny, because...well, it's true...

        Anyway:

        Couldn't post the clip because:
