Nice catch, seeing those pics makes me want to get out on the water even more.

You know, Ive never been fishing before.
Well unless you count when I was 12 and me and some friends went to the local creek.
      I think I caught a boot once!

        I'm with you, curahee.

I take that back I've gone a few times but I'm typically the one the supplies the beer and hangs out. I have caught a couple but nothing major. I loved it though.

I have thread buried here looking for info on taking my boys fishing. I'm going to bump it here pretty soon as the weather's getting nice and I'm determined to take boys out to fish. I know they'll love it.

I found a few spots around that are easy off-the-bank places that I can't wait to hit up. I just need to head to my local shop for some amateur gear and licenses.

Phobia, you may know. Is there an age limit to licenses? Just curios if my boys will need one too.

Speaking from IL, I think if youre under 16 you dont need a license.

Its the same thing in California.

Haven't been fishing out here yet, most of what I would catch in WI my family would keep and eat.

Walleye mainly, with some crappie and other panfish thrown in. Ocean/deep sea fishing has never intrigued me - now that I live relatively closer to fresh water I'll have to go out.

It is 16 and older must have a license in every state I'm pretty sure.

I fish just about every weekend during Spring, Summer, and Fall, then come winter I'm hunting till the end of hunting season. I'm in the outdoors a LOT!

I'll bump chefs thread and post some of my bigger catches.

                  Not in Louisiana.

Ice fishing is the greatest though.

For fish we've done Salmon and Halibut. Both are good, I think she preferred the white Halibut better.

We're both Catholic, so don't eat meat on Fridays. Fish is a good addition anyways, so I think we're going to try and have it more often in general.

I just need to keep at it and I'll get more and more comfortable with grilling it.

I need to get a good meat thermometer for the grill, I don't trust the "thumb test" for myself yet, so have to check temps.

I think for the price, thats a good one.
Do yourself a favor and get a cover for it and use it.... especially in our weather. It will make it last 10 times longer.

Yeah it seemed like a good deal. Just hoping it doesnt take me 20 years to put it together. I would love to have gotten a more expensive grill, but couldn't justify spending too much money on it until my skills are A1. And as far as the grill cover goes, u already know I had to do that. Got a 65 in cover at the same time I ordered it. My last grill I left outside uncovered all of the time and that thing was pretty much done after a year or so of bad weather (wasnt the best grill either)

Man I can't wait to get out there and use that baby (depsite all the snow we just got)
