Totally forgot to take pics but here's some aftermath pics of the hot dogs, brats, sausages and hamburgers. And my wife's home made mac n cheese!

I'm glad I did some quick research before I went to the butcher. Was talking to my friend who used to own a butcher shop. She said people all the time would come in wanting a ribeye, but then complain because they were fatty...

Grilled some fillets Sunday, they were nice. Simple seasoning (I never go too crazy, salt, pepper type stuff), got the grill up high and got great grill lines. Had a bit of pink in the center but not too rare, perfect for us.

Need to pick up steaks more!

Grilled the first steak of the year on Sunday.

I knew something had been missing in my life.

My fiancé had them going when I walked in the door from work yesterday.

Crushed that slab of meat. My appetite is coming back after being sick finally. Bone-in NY strips had me RIGHT.

What do you guys do to get corn to work out on the grill? I always have it almost just right, but a little too not done. Was wondering if there was any tricks.

Smoking isn't too difficult from what I've seen. My dad is great at it. I don't have a smoker. Lol

I don't have a smoker either. I just use my grill. I have pics here of the 2 Hams I smoked for Christmas on my regular old charcoal grill.

As for corn, I wrap cover it with butter & salt, wrap in a wet paper towel then wrap in foil and put it on the grill first and take it off last. Other than steaming it in a barrel it's the best corn I've ever had.

There's a pic of that here too.

Any input on a good (inexpensive) grill brush? Probably just get it on Amazon, since I have prime....

I see some grilling tool sets out there that include brushes for 15-20 bucks, or there are just brushes for 7-15ish.

The wires on my brush are just next to nothing, so need something new. Figured I'd ask the pros (or semi-pros lol).

I see Weber has ones that are more like pipe cleaners, vs the flat brushes I normally see/use.

Oh, I have a normal propane grill, FYI.

I just got a cheap triangle brush. The big thing is just getting the grill hot enough to just scrape the gunk off of there.

I am going to get a new tool too. Any recommendations for thermometers? My gut has been good so far on steak, but I had an epic fail on burgers the other day.

                              Anything wrong with this one?

I don't need a top of the line, but right now I have one that isn't digital and it takes forever to give a read out.

Going for attempt #3 tonight. I was going to last night and got caught up playing basketball. So it will have been seasoning in the salt for 25 hours which I have been wanting to try out anyways.
