I actually forgot to finish the post before sending.


New Era makes hats JUST like that, except for one thing, there was toonces on the back. Like, on any New Era LSU baseball-style hat, there was toonces on the back. And I cannot have that, I (and a LOT of LSU fans) just refuse to buy anything with Toonces on it.

Plus LSU actually used it as an on-field hat for a short period, and I wish they'd bring it back occasionally.



That hat didn't have toonces on the back, but it was impossible to find.

A couple weeks back I saw a girl wandering the halls at school with an LSU sweatshirt on and my brain instantly went "Toonces. Watson would hate her."

I think I need to cut down on the amount of time I spend on this site.

if you were an LSU fan, would you buy something with the Toonces logo on it?

I mean, LSU fans have more or less killed off Swirling Vortex Tiger of Doom, the only logo worse than Toonces, so why not kill it altogether:

The Eye

The Interlocked (baseball)

The Wordmark

And we "Share" the Cadet Tiger with Auburn

I've always equated LSU with Toonces... so yes, it wouldn't bother me and I would buy something with him on it if I were a fan.

It's really not that bad, nor is it a big deal. It looks better than the cadet tiger (and also better than the big version of "insane mike", but not better on the football helmet)

edit: Of course, I prefer the baseball version to all others - but it wouldn't look good on a football helmet nor as a main school logo. Most baseball interlocked letters wouldn't (save for a small badge on the chest of the football uni.)

I'm preferential to the white helmet by far. Followed by the purple. They just seem to... be more "collegiate"-classic looking to me.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the LSU gold helmet, though it does look good with their whites. I think the other colors would look better though.

I mean LSU has this thing about purple on the football uniforms that you know all about.


The jersey is bad voodoo, people will flip if they bust out a purple helmet. Hell, The 11 Pro Combat helmet, my favorite helmet of all time, the end all be all in my opinion, drew a "meh" from some fans.

I hate like 85% of LSU fans.




Also, I love how this thread was started to pull hat talk out of the Uni Snob thread, but it eventually just turned into a discussion that really belongs in the Uni Snob thread.
