I'd say that most of the 9Fifty styles they make are stupid. It's like they cater them to Justin Bieber 14 year olds

I actually don't mind them. I've got a Bulls 9Fifty that I really like.

I really don't like snapbacks, not they way they look really, but more the kids that wear them and how they wear them. They always wear them half way off their head

Chris, what style is that LSU hat? Nike True fit, 59Fifty or something else?

No idea, probably Nike as I just found a random pic. I just want the LSU baseball logo hat, didn't know 59Fifty of it existed until now so i'll probably get that eventually.

I bought a Flyers hat the other day to go with a Flyers shirt I bought, and it was a Reebok flex fit hat (top right in my pic)

It feels very comfortable on my head, and it fits great, but it has a tendency to ride up y head, and it is shaped weird (has a distinct point in the front panel). None if my 39Thirty's (New Era's Flex Fit) do that. It stinks because it's a nice looking hat.

I also own a Reebok fitted Eagles hat (far left in my pic) and while it fit OK, was fairly comfortable, and looked decent, it was no where near the quality of any of the New Era 59Fifty's that I now own.

So, in other words, I trust New Era with their hats.

Although you have to be careful, as every hat is hand made.

For instance: I went to Lids yesterday to get a green Phillies hat to match a green Phillies shirt my gf got me for the St Patty's Phils game that I'm going to in Clearwater. That hat was a 7 5/8. They had a buy one get one sale, so I found another hat I liked (the maroon/blue Phils throwback hat). The 7 5/8 version of that was a little snug. So I grabbed the 7 3/4 version which was a little big, but 59Fifty's shrink over time so eventually it will conform to my head.

I think my favorite style now is New Era's Diamond Era 59Fifty (The new BP hats). The material is so light so it conforms to your head better, and it breathes more than a normal 59Fifty. I hope they start making all authentic MLB hats in that style at some point.

The official hat is Nike, and apart from the material, It's just like a 59fifty. I've never felt the Diamond Era hat, but I imagine it doesn't feel a lot different than that.

I own the official Nike one. Picked it up when I went to Baton Rouge in November, and because of that it is my favorite hat by far. I also grabbed this one when I was there, but I'm pretty sure it's just a "fashion cap" or whatever. Bought this beauty a couple months prior, but I don't wear it nearly as much. Watson, I believe you were looking into that one, but was reluctant about it being a snapback. My other two LSU hats are a gold Nike Stretch-fit that says Geaux Tigers and a plain purple stretch fit that says LSU on the front and Tigers on the back. And I've been looking into this throwback because, well, it looks damn good.

As far as MLB goes, I have 2 Red Sox on-field hats (about to be 5), 2 Rangers on-field caps, and the Mariners alternate cap.

Back when I was playing baseball, some of the guys on my summer team would go to great lengths to break their hat in. They'd wrap the bill around a baseball and put a few rubber bands around it to keep it intact, then they would proceed to beat the crap out of it. The hat would go under a couch seat while being sat on, it would get thrown on the ground and kicked around. Finally they would take a shower with it on or go swimming with it. Now keep in mind these were game hats not a hat you would wear anywhere else in public. Funny thing is the hat always came out perfectly.

Thanks yeah definitely gonna pick up the FSU one when I get back up to tally probably.

I didn't know the back of the LSU was the toonces, much rather have the swoosh.

Don''t know what happened to the Pens hat that caused it to get all faded out where the brim meets the main part of the hat though. Maybe I just sweated to much and the material wasn't very tolerant of it.
