Thank goodness everything is going well now. I couldn't imagine the emotional rollercoaster you were on.

You had me worried when you said my wife "was pregnant" knowing she had several more weeks to go.

Honestly, that sounded like an episode of House.

But on the real, congratulations. Glad the rather eventful couple weeks ended positively.

I can't express how relieved I am that story had a happy ending. Good luck with the little one.

although our situation was nowhere near as horrible as yours.

My wife was in labor for over a day. Nurses coming in and out of the room. not hearing the babies heart on that monitor some of the time. I couldnt eat. watching them flip my wife on all fours to try and hear a heart beat.

After all that they decide to give her the c section.

Its horrible sitting behind that curtain by your wifes head. Then you hear, "babies out!" and then the cry.

I cant believe i didnt pass out. I was so proud of my wife. She was in labor for so long.
Never want to go through that again.

            glad everything went well.

Man, I hear you, getting to the hospital and then everything going crazy was stressful. The baby being born and everything went so smooth though, I was lucky, over the 2 weeks, the baby was like the least of my worries. He didnt seem to cry that much, he just hung out, it really gave me the opportunity to go be with my wife as much as possible.

A not on your story, while i was "living" in the maternity ward for 2 weeks, everyone except one couple from my Lamaze class came through and that exact thing happened to one of the couples, the wife was in labor for 18 hours, and apparently she didnt have enough fluid in her uterus to have a normal birth so they did a c-section, it was just crazy watching couple after couple come and go, even some with difficulties and i was still there.

Thanks everyone for the congrats and warm wishes! Wife went to the doctor today and everything is looking good, or at least how they expected, by Mid May she should be off all meds and back to her self again, shes been having nightmeres and a little post pardum type stuff but not as much as I expected, shes doing a good job, im impressed.
