I can't imagine the stress levels in that job...here I am stressed about hitting deadlines and ****...SMH.
I wasn't criticizing it, just questioning the decision.

You lock down a city so that it eliminates as many innocent bystanders as possible and the only people left on the streets are ones with a motive. It is not that hard to figure out. A little off-topic but I can't be the only person rooting for a Howard Stern prank call on one of these news stations? If I am well then I may need some help lol but the way the media covers these things drives me nuts.

Yeah, right now, that wouldn't be very beneficial.

You don't let the public just go on with their daily lives when they are still under attack.

            Boston is still under attack
            Exactly.

Plus with the public at home the police don't have to worry about other things. I'm not an expert on what the police do in a situation like this... However, I assume that they would prefer not to have to worry about a fender bender on the other side of town right now. All resources has to be focused on finding & stopping this threat.

I imagine that it must be such a strange feeling to know that your friend, whom you thought was a good person, is a monster. But the latter is what he is. Speaking of him in the present tense and referring to him as a "good guy"? I just think I'd have enough sense to parse my words a little more than what I've seen.

There's certain situations that the Stern prank callers should stay away from and this is one of them.

I'm amazed that this guy has still managed to elude everyone. A 19 year old kid with zero training keeping the police and FBI guessing and having a city on lock is insane.

I know a lot of people like to think in black & white, but I just don't know how I would react if a friend of mine would do something like this and I would be swallowed by cameras, microphones, and news reporters. Its hard to tell what I would say.

My personal opinion is he doesn't have law enforcement guessing. I think they are trying to wait him out so no other casualties occur.

No, he had to have been trained. No way a regular person can do this.

Do we know he had no training?
