If they knew as much as we know now and had a suspect directly fleeing and causing this much destruction, they would. You're being obtuse here, dude.

I saw this guy became a citizen on 9/11 of last year...no way that was a coincidence IMO.

Other then the bombings, what destruction has he caused since then. 1 death of an MIT Officer (my prayers go to his family). Like I said earlier, small potatoes compared to the gang/drug violence we have every day in this country.

I'd suggest going back and reading through this thread if you're confused.

They also hurt 176 people, got in a gun fight, and have been tossing out bombs like candy.

If that isn't considered under attack, then I don't know what to say.

I think it's partly due to the uncertainty of this situation. This guy might have bombs planted all over the city.

The rampage last night with two car jackings that left 1 officer dead, 10 officers hurt, multiply IEDS exploded on the streets of Boston must have clearly been nothing ...

That is all true. I'd still argue that "under attack" applies to the current situation as residents cannot leave their homes and there remains some possibility of further use of incendiary devices.

On top of what others just said, they are still finding bombs in the city.

What am I confused about? They killed the MIT officer and that is the only casualty that I am aware of since the bombing. Compare that to the 50 people that die every day in America to homicide.

Apparently there is a photo going around of the dead terrorist. Someone posted it on Facebook. It looks like it's him but who knows. It's graphic though.

You guys can't seriously be trying to pretend like this isn't that significant. We shouldn't be here comparing criminal acts. Its easier to talk about some of this when we live so far away and don't have loved ones who have been hurt by these *******s responsible. I just think there's a time and place for comparisons and this isn't it .

Uh dude, just because they ONLY killed one more person, doesn't mean they didn't do anything else. Like others have said, they've injured other officers, set off more explosives, hijacked a car, etc...
