Out of respect for those that have been effected, I agree... but people need to understand that this is one of the reasons we are hated throughout the world. To them, it only seems like it matters when it happens to us.

I hate to sound superior, but alot of that hate is because of jealousy.

And as someone else mentioned, the USA has given a ton of money of foreign aid. Personally I would like to see that aid slow down or even stop, but that's a different conversation for a different website.

If this exact event would have happened in Kenya would you even care? I guess the better question is would you have even known it happened?

Nope, but that's largely due to the fact that the media would not cover it as extensively, which makes sense when you consider the remoteness of Kenya to the US.


I really don't care much about this particular attack either, but the post-bombing media coverage of the suspects has made for a gripping soap opera so far, so I've "kept it locked" -- and that's not to disrespect any of the victims.
