I will just say this...
It is healthy to wonder. There are things that do not make sense - the backpack is one of them. I think the rest is propagandist crap, but seeds of doubt do not automatically qualify someone as a conspiracy theorist.
If anyone has a link explaining the backpack, I would love to see it. That's really my only hang up.
Two of my good friends who I have known nearly my entire life have five tours in Iraq between them and both say what the media reports as facts and what actually happens in reality is "laughable and mind blowing." Both of these guys have a great deal of credibility with me.
I'm just saying that having curiosity and doubt about what the (irresponsible) media reports on is not a bad thing. And it doesn't lump people who have those doubts into Alex Jones territory.
Most of the theories out there are extremely far fetching and ridiculous, but some of them are not.Comment

They also usually base their logic on fallacies and pass them off as fact or science. 95% of the time you can tell they have no actual understanding of the science or "facts" they are basing their conspiracy on.
At this point, when these type of things pop up, it's hard to tell if they're nuts who actually believe their own nonsense, or just people trying to get some "internet" fame for whatever reason.
I read the stuff now purely for entertainment. I refuse to believe anyone of sound mind would take them seriously.
Not finding the logic in that statement.Comment

Spoiler
On a more serious note, after looking at the backpack pictures I can't see how anyone can say with certainty if it is or is not the same backpack. The images just aren't conclusive. The rest of the stuff in that link you posted is pure and utter crap.Last edited by Stu; 04-23-2013, 01:07 PM.Comment

Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon
Also, the media needs to start acting like real journalists as well and start asking relative questions ..... and stop trying to paint our military as having the same motivations and being as bad as terrorists. That's all I'm going to say (along with sticking with my trusted news sources and commentators instead of these jackweeds).Comment

Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon
This is why you don't support terrorism is in any fashion: Boston was the major American fundraising city for the Irish Republican Army which killed well over 1500 people in Northern Ireland and England. Tragic irony. My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon
A conspiracy theorist is a person that chooses to ask questions and does a bit of research, instead of believing everything the media and/or our government force feeds us.
Most theories are crazy, but some have some kind of truth and logic to them. Not talking about this case, but conspiracies in general.
There is so much to goes on in this world that the general public does know, and probably wouldn't understand. I'm talking political, technological, and metaphysical.
So when people hear some of these theories they can't quite grasp the true meaning behind them.

Re: Terrorist Attack at the Boston Marathon
How is that relevant? Are you trying to say Boston deserved it? That it was karma? I don't understand your point.Comment

No city deserves to get bombed and I don't believe in Karma, just irony. My point is that you don't support terrorism, in any way, shape, or form.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment
