If I had to live somewhere else, maybe the San Francisco or Monterey, CA area of Cali. Visited there in 2011 and loved it. The Pacific Northwest is a part of the country that really interests me.

I was born and raised in the state of Virginia and I love it and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

I don't think I could ever leave Pennsylvania, but if I ever did my first choice would be Florida. Most likely around the Orlando area.Comment

Not here.
Somewhere where it doesn't snow. That's all I want. I don't care what state that ends up being.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: If you could live in any of the 50 U.S. states
I live in a small farm town in mid-Ohio...can't say I really wanna live anywhere else.
Perfect blend of weather, we get our few months of cold, snowy winter, then a few months of hot summer, then the rest are in between. Plus almost all of my family lives around here within a half hour drive. Who knows where I'll end up living in the future, but one thing is for sure I want to be in a place with a good mix of weathers seasons like Ohio has. Because I like certain aspects of winter and summer both. I wouldn't like Alaska where it is almost always cold, or Florida where it is almost always warm, I like a mix.
Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Michigan would probably be my next three choices of places to live.Comment

I'm not a fan of living in Florida. It's not terrible overall I guess, but I hate the humidity that doesn't relent. I'm just ready to leave.
NC, LA, Colorado, Oregon, Washington are a few of the states that intrigue me the most, but I really just want to get out of this particular area and state.Last edited by Brandon13; 05-02-2013, 11:16 PM.Comment

Re: If you could live in any of the 50 U.S. states
Definitely not California and definitely never ever any of the "Southern" states. Texas would be the only one I consider, and I don't really call that a "Southern" state.
We've been debating back and forth about where we want to move in the upcoming few years (once she gets a year or two more on the job for experience, so she can get hired wherever.)
Wisconsin (my home) is an obvious choice (plus it has snow, which is a bonus.) The others so far in the running are Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Minnesota and Michigan. I'd love to live in DC again, but only if I could be right back in the city proper like I was before.
The idea of Vegas has been mulled over quite a bit, but I'm not sure if I can get past the weather issues I have with it. Otherwise it would hands down be Vegas (but outside of the strip and Fremont.) I have a few friends that have lived there for plenty of years, and I've stayed with them for a couple months and it was relaxed. Not too expensive, like 20-25 minutes into the city. They were in bowling leagues, baseball/softball leagues, the golf is better than most other places (with the variety that you can choose from.)
**** I might be convincing myself right now, better stop.badComment

I used to think Hawaii but have a good friend who was born and raised there, and he couldn't wait to get out. He said it's great for tourists but to actually live there is another matter entirely. I also have another buddy who loved to visit the island, but he was ready to leave a few months after the Navy stationed him there.
I think Montana would be pretty awesome. I prefer country living with a lot of outdoor activity... I don't think I could ever leave Washington, though... It is a great state. Seattle is a phenomenal city, but I could personally never live there. Too cloudy/rainy and too much traffic. I love the eastern side of the state. Plus, Seattle is ridiculously expensive.Last edited by 12; 05-03-2013, 12:39 AM.Comment

Oregon's fun, but I'd love to live back home in SW VA.
I don't see that happening, so I'd probably like to live in Seattle, NYC, Boston, or possibly San Jose.Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: If you could live in any of the 50 U.S. states
Tennessee or Virginia without question.
Ive lived all over the world and never been happier than when I was in those 2 states.
Nashville, Tn would be my first choice due to having a nice metro area, located almost central to the southeastern region, and only a few hours away from pretty much anywhere in the South you wanted to go.
Great people, great enviroment, Smokey mountains, rafting, good schools...etc.Comment
