That's not even remotely close to being true.

This is true. Had a relative as well who robbed a couple of banks and did 7 yrs

Had a close friend travel from California to Texas to pull a bank heist and his partner in crime was killed by the cops and my buddy was shot in the eye in a shootout. Lets just say good ole Deon got 30yrs. He only has 14 more to go

Sounds like you must be in the Columbia area lol. I remember when I was down there visiting some guys robbed a bank on Two Notch and the robbers threw the money in the woods or something.

A few weeks ago, someone called in a bomb threat to the local hospital and even threatened all the bridges on a major highway leading North on the other side of the county.

On the same day, a bank roughly one mile from the school I graduated from, was robbed and held at gun point. They finally arrested the suspect involved and are making the connection to the two. In reality, it was a smart move.

The guy fled in a very noticeable vehicle with the tag easily seen.

My mom was telling me about how someone had to give birth to their kid in the hospital parking lot.

If you ever got the crazy idea to rob a bank, consider laying low in a foreign country like...

I wonder how many bank robberies are done by the nerds of the world these days. You know... spreading a virus through the system, taking control of the vault via a computer...

That kind of stuff must exist, right? Maybe they don't even physically have to do anything at the bank and it's all through a network.

                      I decided long ago that if I lived to be 80, then I plan on robbin' a bank;
If I get away with it & it's a big haul, then I can live the last few years of my
                      life on easy street.

                      If I get caught, then
                      A) it won't really matter 'cause the odds are the end of my days are probably near,

                      &

                      B) maybe the authorities will take mercy on an old man & let me off.
                      Either way, win-win-win. lol

You're selfish enough to let your children and your children's children live with the label as relative to a thief?

Obviously these things happen kind of often as we've seen, but it's not common enough that I would feel proud of my grandpa (who just turned 80, by the way) representing the same name that I share with him.

I'm guessing your post was mostly speaking in jest, but I'm just saying... I hope you realize it's not just your life that you affect when you do this.

We had a local credit union get robbed 2 weeks ago. They caught the guy a week later.

Banks & Jewelry stores around here are getting robbed in broad daylight. Hell, a jewelry store in a major mall (Tysons Corner, in a very affluent neighborhood) was robbed one day.
