I would take them for $100, even if you can't flip them right away, they might be some value down the line.
If I was you, I would keep an eye out for baseball card expos or something of that nature and try to sell them there.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I got back into collecting recently and I have been getting approximate values by looking for what the cards sell for on ebay. Now I don't know if you could find those on there or not.

He should be able to, but the issue with older cards is that a lot of them are only on ebay graded, so it's hard to find a specific price for them if they are ungraded.

So a guy who is starting up a card shop made me an offer for $450 and said he felt bad doing it because if I got a few of the cards graded out, I could get close to a grand.

          Thinking of taking the offer...

You take that offer, and run.

EDIT: I am going to go out for dinner here soon on my bike, but when I get back later tonight I will use my Beckett, eBay, and PSA to show you why I think $450 is almost too good to be true for that lot.

The guy misread my text and didn't look at the pictures closely enough.

He thought the 1960 Topps Brooks Robinson was graded. It's not.

He still offered $210... And I think I am just going to take it and treat my wife to a nice date night with the quick profit.

That's still a crazy good deal for you. Even if you got them graded I don't think you could pull a $110 profit after the cost of doing everything unless they came back with crazy high grades (which I don't see based on the pictures).

Go for it. I think the highest Beckett value by far (only in mint condition though) was the 60 Robinson card - And that was only worth $50.

Save the huge grading costs and be happy with more than doubling your profit.

As a collector of cards and other things for over 25 years I would say borrow a few of them and get them authenticated. If they are authentic then buy every last one of them and have them graded. You will make your money back easily. For vintage cards go with PSA or have Heritage take a look at them. Don't use Beckett. Not for those cards.

On a side note. You can find amazing deals on Ebay in sports cards. I purchased an auto Russell Wilson well below book value I purchased the card ungraded and sent it in to Beckett since they are close to me and got good feedback from some local dealers. It graded out a 9.5.
