Looking To Book a Cruise...Any Suggestions?

    Hey guys. Magic here.

My best friend and I are looking to book a cruise. He has never been on one.

I have only been on one, that my family booked together. It didn't go anywhere special from what I remember. And the places we did go, we didn't get to stay out very long. Dont know if thats how it generally is.

This time around, it would be just he and I. My question is, can a cruise be fun with just the two of us?

We're not bringing girls. So would there plenty of opportunity to meet some there? Are there certain, er, "brands" of cruises that are just for certain ages? I would hate to get on one and there be nothing but families, kids and old people that dont have nothing better to do.

Basically, we're young, single, and want to party it up and visit exotic places we've never been before.

Oh yeah, and hook up with girls.

So any help from those with experience would be much appreciated. Even if its just to say that a cruise is not a good idea for two guys going solo.

    That is all. Magic out.

I have nothing to base this off of, but I would think that a mid to higher range price range of cruise might yield better results in the single ladies area. I would think more families would go for the cheapest available (which I assume is Carnival). Depending on your financial situation I might spend a little extra to get out of the dungeons of the ship and into a room with a balcony and that isn't just a storage closet built for sleeping.

Why not just catch a flight somewhere Overseas?

Young, want to party it up and visit exotic places.......sounds like the beginning of a Taken 3 movie.

Just figured it would be much cheaper with room, travel, and food all being taken care of in the price of the cruise.

At least, thats what I'm assuming.

The only thing that sucks is drinks on a cruise are outrageous.

Last time I was on one, there were plenty of women and things to do.

            or just fly to Alabama

I can find you some girls with no teeth you may like. They provide the liquor and STDs too and you don't even have to leave the States.

We can discuss it next time we're on the Battlefield.

There is a cruise thread floating around. I think I remember posting a link on how to get booze for pretty cheap by pre-ordering it or something like that.

Another thing that might help is go while school is in session. I would think it would cut down on the families. Maybe try for that time frame from when college is out, but grade school is in. That way you get the college chicks, but no families.

Depending on where you live however, grade schools get out the same time college is out, early May.

In the second or third paragraph of this article, there's links to singles themed cruises:

                  http://travel.nytimes.com/2013/02/10...anted=all&_r=0

I'd also consider resorts that are "All Inclusive", based on your criteria...

                  Just google "Singles Resorts"...

                  Failing that:

                  VEGAS BABY!!!

Yea, thats a really good suggestion.

I have friends that go to Jamaica every year and just pay a flat price for a resort that includes everything, including the drinks.

Would we need passports for the cruises or resorts?

If you going to other country ports, I would think so. I mean how else would they know you are an American when you come back ? You could be a stow away all they know.

Review the travel documents required by Royal Caribbean to board our ship as a U.S. or non U.S. citizen plus additional information regarding our international destinations.

It probably explain this in that link about, or it may not even be true anymore, but there is something you can get that is cheaper than a passport. The thing is it lets you go on the cruise and get and off the ship, but if you get stranded and have to fly back you are in for a lot of headaches.
