I agree with the passport. IMO it's not that expensive and lasts for 10 years.

You don't need them for a "closed loop" cruise. This is a cruise that starts/ends at the same US port (ie. Miami, NYC, etc). The risk is if you get sick or something happens then it's way tougher for you to travel back to the US. IMO it just makes sense to get the passport.

Oh, no clue on the singles cruises. There are usually "singles events" on every cruise, but if you're really looking to party and hook up then you'll want a dedicated cruise. Otherwise you're more likely to end up with couples, families, or non-single people.

I've only done family cruises, but we really like Royal Caribbean. Slightly more expensive than Carnival, but we like the experience.

Got my 4th and my wife's 5th cruise over New Years this winter out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. My wife's aunt likes a big family cruise and my wife was close with that family growing up so her (and her mom) always get included. Gonna be a great cruise. Just have to see how our 10ish month old son will do on it lol

Reminds me that we have to get him a passport soon too...we'll be doing enough cruises or traveling to make it worth having.
