I used to be an avid gamer but I have found my interest waning for no apparent reason other than I am getting older, I guess? I have games like Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 just sitting on my computer untouched for months even though I haven't finished them, in the old guys that wouldn't have happened. I still love sports games, but only for a deep dynasty or career mode, like road to the show. I played Borderlands 2 quite a bit when it came out, I might go back and check out the DLC. It's weird, I didn't even play GTA4 that much even though I love those games.

Re: Is it Possible to lose interest in Video Games?
I think i've mostly grown out of gaming however there are a few games/concepts I like that will keep me involved and buying the next gen consoles. I want Team Bondi to be successful with their games especially if they're anything like L.A. Noire which I LOVED! I want to see more games like that, Heavy Rain and The Last of Us which while more action oriented is still "videogame as a movie" in scope.
I also love the GTA series so i'll be up for games like that and Rockstar can basically have my money with just about anything they make.
Other than that though, I can't be bothered to pick up a controller and play a game. I usually buy one of the football or baseball games but I just don't feel the need to. So I keep my excitement for the properties and concepts that I mention above. Good thing consoles can be used as an entertainment center from here on out or else buying a console would be a waste of time.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I don't think I'll ever completely lose interest in video games. But I don't play nearly as much as I used to. I'll go weeks at a time without turning on my PS3.Ravens - Orioles - Terps

Re: Is it Possible to lose interest in Video Games?
Since starting my new job in January, I've been less motivated to play games than before. I work longer hours and I'd rather just read a book or watch a show/movie on Netflix than play a video game.
That said, I still look forward to MLB The Show, NBA 2K, anything Naughty Dog puts out and some other non-sports games. I travel a bit for work, so having a DS and Vita available are nice when there's nothing on TV and you need to unwind before going to bed.
I'll always play video games but I don't forsee any marathon gaming sessions in my future.Currently Playing:

Re: Is it Possible to lose interest in Video Games?
I've always put a lot of effort into making sure I have time for my hobbies. Thankfully, I'm able to write about a lot of things I love -- so work and play go hand and hand a lot of the time.
I definitely think it's possible to lose interest, though. I've gone through stretches where I won't game more than a couple of hours a week to times where I'll spend at least a couple of hours a night playing with friends and stuff.Writer for Operation Sports

Re: Is it Possible to lose interest in Video Games?
Just reading some responses here and you see how different it can be for so many. My idea of a long videogame session is 3-4 hours.
Something I will admit is I am just too tired at the end of the day to learn some of these games. I tried to play Borderlands 2 and just lost interest because of the various ways to upgrade and then the idea of looting and doing various side missions just turns me off. I hear so many say it's addictive and I sit there wondering what's wrong with me.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

I make time for hobbies, but that game is a time sink that I don't have room for.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
