Re: Building credit
I'd have to ask my friend what he paid, but he got a couple of sea doos used and didn't pay anywhere near that. They've worked fine for several summers now so you can find reliable ones used. I'm thinking half sounds right, so around $9000 at the very most, as I know it wasn't 5 figures.
I'd definitely shop around some more. I'm with the rest of them, paying that much for something you use a few weekends each summer is probably not worth it, especially at your age unless you have the cash to burn and still are good financially.
Ok, I see the $18000 one is where you started now haha. Good thing you did come down. I'd want to know more about it, age wise, how much use has it had, etc...Comment

If you're going to do it, do it soon before rates going up. It's a borrowers' market out there right now.Comment

Re: Building credit
Oy. Well, in that case, perhaps financing is the best option. It seems like that's a lot for a jet ski, but I'm not too familiar with the upper models. You could get a nice used car for that price.

$17,999 - 310 horsepower
Which it's really just a number, because legally they can't go over 68 MPH out of the factory.Comment

Re: Building credit
Sea-Doo is releasing a line that starts at $4,999. I'm not sure how the motors compare to motorcycles, but some of the supercharged jet skis built for racing can do 0-60 in under 3 seconds...Comment
