I guess I'll be serious for a bit.
I played 5A Football in Louisiana. Needless to say, everything was handed to me throughout my whole high school career. I would literally walk into spanish class first hour, say "Yo *Teacher's Name* el agua por favor", not even wait for an answer, put my booksack down, and go to the weight room, gym, or locker room to sleep. 2nd hour I had football and 3rd hour was Publications, which means nap time in the locker room or film study. It wouldn't be until 4th hour I would have to sit through a class. When I say we ran the school, we literally walked around the halls as we pleased.
So I ended up falling short of the TOPS requirement (I needed a 2.5, ended with a 2.497. They don't round up). Then my first semester of college I treated like High School, and it showed. I failed Southeastern 101, the freshman intro class (But that's another story).
But I ended up turning it around and getting serious about my grades. I got my grades up high enough to transfer to LSU, my dream school, and am currently loving it.
To make matters better, my grades got high enough that I qualified for my first scholarship. It felt amazing not having to rely on student loans to pay for college every semester. And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU
