What are your plans for New Year's Eve

My wife and I are staying in. Roasting a turkey for dinner and will just have drinks while watching the various countdown shows.

I haven't gone out on NYE for 12 years.

Got a babysitter lined up for the kiddos this year, so the wife and I will be going out with basically her whole family for drinks. Should be a good time.

Staying in as well. Normally I work on New Year's Eve and would get off at 1 AM on New Year's Day so this will be a nice change to spend it with the family...

Going to a bar downtown to celebrate. I usually have to work so I'm going to take advantage of being off. Going to be with my girlfriend and her sister + guy friend. I'm going to be the driver so I will limit myself to 3 drinks over the course of the night. Kinda sucks but I won't feel brutal the next day.

Going to a badass concert venue with friends that will have dueling pianos. No clue how good they'll be but you can't beat reserved seating at a good venue with table service on New Years Eve. I pity those going to bars. Such a cluster--.

Watching the Peach Bowl. Then going to bed so I am rested when I get up New Years morning to watch more bowl games.

The real question is what will I do with my life when bowl games are over? I swear, I have no idea what I do in the spring months to pass time.

Going to a Tapas restaurant nearby in the early evening and coming home after that. Need to stay off the roads before and after midnight.

Amateur night will be in full swing.

Watching it all on TV lol. Better that way, so if 1 channel has a boring musical performance/commercial,just change the channel to another one that has better. Unfortunately, I have Buffalo feed of channels in USA, and lets just say that watching Buffalos new years eve celebration is just sad.

Torontos at least looks appealing, even though their musical acts suck. Just the city trying to look "hip" and "relevant".


I hate all the new years eve celebration stuff though where you see thousands of people all jumping around,screaming and going crazy like celebrating the new year is a life changing moment. All the people who appear in the background on TV when the host starts talking, and it's as if those people have never been on TV before and are hoping they become famous from their 15 seconds on camera in a background shot.
